I've was having D every morning for weeks, months even. Then I started taking some probiotics and I started to feel better. My need for a bm wasn't waking me up at 4.30/5am and I was generally much better. But for the last week things have flipped. I've been getting the 4.30/5am wake up with wind and cramps but then not getting the relief when I go to the loo. I either can't go at all or everything is really hard.
Anyone had the same thing? The probiotic I'm taking is optibac everyday and optibac s.boulardii.

Yes. Going through this right now. Can’t go without taking some laxatives now. I really can’t win with my bowels. I also feel constant pressure down there. Like I need a BM. But absolutely nothing comes out.
Hi, I have tried several probiotics and found they do the same to me, I end up where instead of keep going all day and still not getting to the end, I find I feel bunged up, if that makes sense to you. Maureen.
Mine went from D, to C with occasional bouts of D.
I also am having this problem. I had D for many years and then C set in. I’ve only taken a probiotic for less than a week and now I’m nauseous with D again. Not hungry and losing weight I’m sick of IBS.
It can happen and it did happen for me in the past, what I did to prevent hard stool was drinking a lot of water everyday and force my body to make the stool more soft no matter what. Long term probiotics and lack of fluids can cause it.
