Help??

Currently in center parcs and have been suffering with diahorrea for 36 hours on and off. Have taken 3 Imodium and dioralyte but nothing. As soon as I eat anything it's back out again, it's stopping me doing anything. Will definitely be at the doctors on Monday, but does anyone have any remedies for right now whilst I'm away? 😭😭😭

Hi, wondering if you have a diagnosis of something like IBS or if you think you have a bug which has caused the diarrhoea?? I would suggest you keep taking anti diarrhoea meds, drink lots of bottled water , simple food, no fruit, coffee or alcohol to let your system slow down. If Imodium is not working go to chemist and ask pharmacist for something else. Not the way you want to spend a holiday I'm so sorry , really hope you feel better soon x

Could it be a bug or food not cooked properly? Has IBS been confirmed?

You must keep up your water intake and you are doing the right thing by seeing your GP on Monday

Drink a lot of water and don't eat very much. In the US the BRAT diet is usually recommended. This stands for bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. My doctor also recommends Coke - regular, not diet. Let it get flat.

If you have IBS. You most likely have a Sensitive system, like the rest of us. So it could well be tummy bug. Or bad episode of IBS. Mine have lasted weeks. You have to see if it settles down after a few days before heading to the doctors. GOOD LUCK!!

Dear Sharkeey, Firstly, definitely see the doctor on Monday. In the meantime, though, check the dose on the packet of Imodium you are using. The normal dose is two initially, then one after every motion, so it sounds as if you have not been taking enough. I agree with the others: drink plenty of water and dioralyte today. You may also find that a boiled or scrambled egg or omelette may help too. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
