Hi all re my previous flu post , it’s 2 weeks now and I feel I’m just starting to come through spend most days downstairs and have even done some washing , still not eating much though, cough still there which I know can last a while . I have a foul taste in my mouth constantly and not much taste of food. Is this what’s leading to the daily crippling nausea . Sometimes worse at night , I sit propped up barely daring to move is this to do with my flu or I’m worried it’s something else .

Have you seen a doctor? If not, you should.
It does take time to get over these illnesses, it seems the germs this winter have been particularly virulent. I and many of my aquaintences have taken a about a month to get over even a "cold". Being without energy and very weak. Take heart, you are just like everyone else. Just take it as easy as you can. Good luck.
I had the flu in January, then gave it to my neighbor. Both of us took about a month to recover, and we had received our flu vaccinations. I complained to my doctor about it and she said the strain this year is like a “super flu.” Just get plenty of rest and be patient.
