Firstly, I’m 26, eat relatively healthily, admittedly a smoker & don’t drink a great deal.
For the last year or 2, I’ve suffered occasional stomach ache but just attributed it to IBS. For the last week, I’ve had crippling lower back pain, pain in my lower abdomen & under my ribs (right side). Not accompanied by D&V but grey/clay coloured stools. I’ve also felt completely exhausted. Conceding defeat, I’ve visited my GP & they believe I may have gall bladder disease & awaiting a scan for confirmation. VERY concerned due to my age & knowing this is unusual.
Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated as I’m becoming increasingly anxious.

The only possibility is to follow through with the tests and then act on the adivice of your gastroenterologist. It is good that you are proceeding with tests. This does not sound like IBS to me.
Hi, I don't have the gray colored stools, but I have had what seems like a "stitch" under my left rib cage for months now. It seems to get worse, when I get a UTI (which for some reason happens often). (especially after surgically induced menopause, I am 56). I have had CAT scan, but going back for more testing, because a constant pain in left rib cage isn't right.
I would say on & off mine has been for at least a year & I always put it down to IBS or UTI. (I’m a student nurse so I can dip test my wee at any point & the only thing it’s ever shown is blood). This week the pain has been horrendous, & a number of friends have suggested I could be pregnant?! So far though -ve tests but keeping fingers crossed.
