Pain after stool....
Hi,
I am replying because no one seems to have given a view on your post and that probably makes you feel worse , thinking you are only one with those symptoms. I don't get same as you but sometimes get a bit of nausea and don't feel the gut has properly settled after a bm. So not really pain after just not always completely OK. Maybe still a feeling of more to come !
You don't say if you suffer from IBS D or C so perhaps that would make a difference and relate to others with similar issues , or of course could be the meds. I would guess you might be predominantly IBS c and then maybe pain still there or worse perhaps because not totally cleared out --but just a guess ! Lanzoprozole is great for excess stomach acid but when I took it on a regular basis I often got sudden diarrhea .
Sorry not really much help but just felt any reply better than none. I do think you need to say more about type of IBS you normally have and you might find others with similar might give a more informed reply.
Good luck

Thankyou so much will1234 ! I’m ibs c with the usual stomach cramps as if I’m going explode but only little comes out and left feeling not empty 🙄
I'm similar to you I suffer from ibsc as well, constant pains in my stomach area, I always feel unwell after a bm, pains, terrible wind and bloating, feeling very weak and sometimes I feel sick with hunger, Gp gives me laxido and omeprazole and just lately started me on audmonal (alverine citrate) which is supposed to relieve the symptons of ibs, trying to get answers is a nightmare as i'm sure a lot of gp's don't have a clue about ibs, I've put on the waiting list for an appointment at the gastroenterology dept of the Heath Hospital but seem to be waiting forever for this, waited 3 months so far
I always feel worse after a BM. It’s mainly backache which can last for hours. Doctors don’t seem to know what causes it other than possible bowel spasm. If it happens late in the day I need painkillers to get to sleep.
Yes mine does. Especially if i have been constipated for a few days and then go. Very painful, like the colon is sore inside. Usually resort to pain killers or drink mint tea until it improves, but usually longer than 20mins. Could be the expanding and contracting of the colon, i dont know.
I definitey feel worse after a BM although I know that one of the "official" symptoms for IBS is that the pain improves after a BM. My tummy feels very tender and also get a great deal of low back pain which can last for hours. I asked 2 gastroenterologists about the back pain and they just said it was all part of IBS and nobody knows why it happens!
Not to belabor the point, but I too have the very same experiences as are posted here. I have no answers. Sorry to all of you suffering this he'll.
