Hello! I have read on here that a few people swear by digestive enzymes. I was thinking of trying some but don’t know which to get. I have IBS-D. Any advice would be very much appreciated. X

Digestive enzymes
I don’t know the answer but will watch with interest as I too would like to take digestive enzymes for my constant gurgling guts.
Hi Jen
I've never taken them but after someone posted about them on here I looked them up on the internet and decided against taking them after reading the article I found, see below:

I was going to be prescribed digestive enzymes by my GP if a repeat stool test came back showing I was not digesting my food properly due to low pancreatic enzymes alas it came back normal this time. Anyway I have been looking at the enzymes that some health companies offer and I am considering taking them after Xmas as I wish to gather some more info on them. I do know that they will not be as powerful as those prescribed my your GP. Just a thought perhaps you should speak to your GP getting a stool test to see if you actually need them
Hi there, not sure if these are the same things or not, but i read about these from someone on this site recently, and as they suggested, i bought some from Amazon and immediately started taking them.
2 weeks later and i am feeling rather smug!
I'm only on day 3 of seeing results but with no adjustment to my diet whatsoever, my bm's are down to one a day - in the morning, (from 4 or 5 throughout day) - and i have had absolutely NO cramping all day. I'm wanting to shout out loud but I'm going to give it another 2 weeks. I feel the shackles around my ankles begin to loosen.
Hope this helps.

Yes, the link to the pro biotics! Sorry, didn't think it was the same thing, but had to mention them 😁
Thank you. I ask everyone to please be honest in their recommendations because we are all " mass sufferers" and need to feel that we all have each others backs.
