I'm 23 and from the UK. I've been suffering with severe abdominal pain, consistent diarrhoea and vomiting for over three months now. I haven't eaten properly in this time and have lost 3 stone since it began. I went for a sigmoidoscopy yesterday, but was told nothing showed up so they took some biopsies which won't be back for at least 4 weeks. I am in absolute agony and don't know what to anymore, has anyone had the same experience? Would be a great help to talk to someone who knows what I'm going through.

I need help...
Hi there,
I'm sorry you are going through this. This is what happened when my IBS set in when I was 21. I didn't lose 3 stone so my diarrhea must have been less than yours, but it felt awful anyway. I was diagnosed then with gastroenteritis. It wasn't.
What has been going on in your life for the past 6-12 months can help you find the root cause.
Right now you need to help your body calm down. These articles may help you:

It would also be a good idea to get checked out for SIBO and Candida. More on that here: sickofibs.com/ibs-symptoms/...
I hope this helps you,
Alison
Hi there,
I really feel for you, what an awful time you are going through and I cannot understand that the hospital aren't trying to do more for you. I think Alison's reply below is a really good one as it shows that she had been through a very difficult time as well and has come out the other side by trying many things.
I really hope that you feel better very soon, you can't go on like this.
Take care
