Today I have been to see a gastroenterologist who feels that hypnotherapy might be helpful for me (have tried everything else!)
Just wondered if anyone has managed to get this on the NHS?

Hello Janke, hello everyone, I am a Dutchman, living in Holland, so sorry for my lack of knowledge of your language.
I have very positive experiences with hypnotherapy from my doctor internist who practises hypnotherapy as a free present on top of her classical therapy . Part of the strategy is that you do'nt think at anything else and only concentrate on her (she is alady) voice.
She stimulates a regular slow breath. She asked me to relax muscle after muscle top down and down top. During this excersise you will automatically meat your bowl muscles, and do'nt do anything more for bwol muscles than for arm/leg muscles. She mentions the names an location of the muscles you have.
She softly repeats: relax relax relax everything, don't do any thinking, you only listen to my voice, there is nothing else than my voice. This hypnotherapy lasts about 25/30 minutes.
She records her instructions on CD.
After the session my bowl didn't hirt that much.
Every evening I listen to this CD, which helps me a lot to lose my hyperactive thoughts and fear for nightly pain. I fall in sleep very easyly. And faster.
Nevertheless I somtimes awake at for instance 4 o'clock at night with spasms and severe pain.
Before I received my hypnotherapy CD I did'nt sleap much anymore after such an attack. If such a cramp happens nowadays, I listen to the CD she made and my pain dissappears a lot And I will sleep more hours.
So: find yourself a hypnotherapists, if possible a doctor, may be an internist, will give the best results, because they know the interior of you body best.
I wish you, and all other readers suces.

Hi,
I had hypnotherapy, it was absolutely fantastic. Not available on the NHS unless you are in Manchester where I believe it is.
It’s called gut directed hypnotherapy
I paid nearly £500 but worth every penny.
Hope that helps
