I have fatigue, and pain when I go. I have problems with the Pudential nerve in my rectum. I had to go to a compounding pharmacy to get a cream that helps a little when I go.

I am pretty much suffering from fatigue all the time at this point. Coping is just that, lack of sleep from gut issues, pain and cramping before and after for hours. All the symptoms many here have but while I have taught myself to cope with many of these it's really the long term grinding of long term symptoms that can really and truly wear you out.

I'm so sorry :( that's really hard to deal with, every day, all day.

Your adrenals must be really strained trying to produce enough of the anti-stress hormone cortisol with these structural stresses. Cortisol which also determines stomach acidity which in turn causes digestive problems when it's too low.

Please aid your adrenals by taking in salt (unless you have high blood pressure) and vitamine C and whole spectrum amino acids (i.e. chicken broth, egg yoke or some body builders protein powder). And diminish any physical stressors you can. This includes ear mufflers for noise and evicting toxic family from your life, if only temporarily. And anything else that gives you stress, no matter how ridiculous it may sound to other people. For me it was taking a shower standing up, for example. Or getting a surprise gift or phonecall.

I'm so sorry you have it this rough. Seeing you are smart, resourceful and stubborn enough to withstand your current situation AND to have discovered successful ways of coping, I say you are one of the people to have a good chance of fighting yourself to a better life. Be "ruthless" and persistent, you bikkel!

("bikkel" is an admiring Dutch word for a robust person weathering the storm, stemming from the biggest marble on the playground. I couldn't find an English equivalent.)

Yes, definitely. I know I need to go when (amongst other symptoms) I get what I call a 'thick head' - fatigue and grogginess almost like a hangover. I also sleep much more heavily (when I eventually do drop off, as pain and bloating make it very difficult!). To be honest the fatigue is the least of my problems - it's the rest that I find impossible to cope with.

I just started taking a probiotic drink called "Yakult" I'm hoping this will smooth my gastrointestinal issues out which in turn will hopefully reduce some of the physical symptoms I think the fatigue is the worst part and the groggy hungover feeling.

There's meant to be a big link between SIBO and IBS I have spent the past 4 hours reading into how the bacteria buildup affects various gastrointestinal functions and apparently probiotics can help combat this issue.

Feel free to send some of your coping strategies my way I'm really struggling im only 24 and feel like a 70 year old some days

✌🏼

If you're going to try a probiotic I'd strongly suggest getting a proper one and not the yoghurts, which are full of sugar (one of the worst things for SIBO-type symptoms). I'd also recommend a stools test and/or food intolerance tests if you haven't already had them.

I will also add make sure you are not intolerant to milk products as some of these types can cause other issues that you might not figure out are caused by the new "remedy"

How do you prevent it or what do you do to help ease the symptoms ?

I'm fatigued all the time. I can't say that it revolves around my bowel movements.
