IBS Pain

Hi, I've been diagnosed with IBM this year. I've found the article on the gut valves interesting. I had right sided fallopian tube cancer 6ys ago followed by a hysterectomy & chemotherapy. I recovered amazingly well.

Last year I developed excruciating pain in my right lower abdomen, usually followed by a bowel movement. I had a MRI scan which ruled out any reoccurrence of the cancer. IBS was diagnosed. I have always suffered with alternate diarrhoea & constipation. This has been resolved now by taking Vogals Bowel Essence. I still experience excruciating abdominal pain which radiates up the rectum, urethra & vagina. Any suggestions please.?

Best thing is to undergo a colonoscopy to rule out IBD Not IBS ..Such as crohn's disease, Ulcerative colitis , diverticular disease ..etc

These can not be well diagnosed by MRI alone ..a Colonoscoy is essential at this point .
