Hurts to bend lower left

Does anyone feel as if they are squashing something when they bend to the side of the pain. This flare is lower left and if I bend forward or to the left it hurts as if some4hing is swollen. What causes this with ibs. Went through many scans cts etc last ct with contrast was Nov all clear then. Dr said no need to start again but this worries me. Colpermin helps a bit and I have been through a very stressful time recently.

Anyone else get this symptom. Oh yes I am 65 and have had ibs for years and diverriculosis.

Hi

I'm also a senior with IBS and diverticulosis. Since your doc has given you the all clear then you're likely O.K.

Stress is definitely a big factor for IBS. This in turn causes bloating which seems to disturb the diverticulosis with pain especially when bending over. I suppose because the swollen colon presses on other organs.

Best wishes

Stress sounds like it could be a factor, have you thought about CBT/Meditation or any other natural alternative to ease the stress? Just a thought.
