That sounds like the usual sort of response from gps!! Make sure you are checking all you eat for dairy products - milk gets in lots of foods and medicines - look at labels for whey powder and of course lactose or any other derivative of milk.
Good luck
Maybe try the FODMAP diet? I found it really helpful, and found gluten to be a bit of a problem but also onions and garlic! it also gave me peace of mind, knowing that I had not eaten anything likely to make me uncomfortable helped.
Try eating gluten products for a couple of days for every meal ie. toast sanwich bread with meal, preferably grained bread to see if that gives you side effects. It could be anything from tummy ache muscle aches or headaches.
Keep a food mood and stress diary for a week see if u can see a link as we all have different triggers. I had another big attack this, week having not been able to eat for nearly a month and the cause was eating things Luke burgers,Ice cream and KFC celebrating sons birthday!😕😕 I've learnt my lesson. There's a lot of guidelines on line but I find some are conflicting, my surgeon said white bread and ri ce is great as low fibre while others say eat wholemeal and white is bad for you. Unfortunately its trial and error to find what's best for you but being prepared helps.I carry imodium buscopan and rennies Everywhere now and the more I learn about it the less scared I get when I feel an attack coming on.
Sounds about what I was told. Hearing about others leaving with meds. As above food diary your GP should jabe at least suggested. I do believe it becomes in part anxiety and stress related too as you get in a vicious circle of worrying you may be affected when going out. However some like myself can eat same meal 3 days on a row and sometimes it goes through me other days is fine which makes it nightmare as nothing to avoid! Hope you feel better soon.
