Hi there,

Going back to basic cooking from scratch can help you keep milk and wheat out your diet! I've made things that kids like to eat like scotch eggs with gluten free sausages and instead of dipping in breadcrumb use fine polenta instead- same with chicken or fish bites. Bit more crunchy too!! I've bought pizza bases that are gluten free and made slightly sloppier toppings where I've not used cheese! When I first was gluten free there wasn't a huge choice now there's tons of cereals and pasta ( but I'd steer clear of fake coucous - I didn't like it) 😊 plus a good old Sunday roast with home made potatoes( shop bought often are coated in flour) - ok no gravy but still healthy for a family to eat.

Hope that helps

Use cornflour for making gravy & sauces. No gluten in that & it works much better. Anyway!

Coconut milk is a good substitute for dairy in lots of things. Oat milk is great on cereal.

You can get coyo (coconut yogurt)

I find I can eat hard cheese as it contains not much lactose as it is extracted via the whey.

You can also eat butter for the same reason.

Oatly also produce an oat cream

Hope some of the above help you.

Soya based milk and yoghurts are freely available

Use Pure vegetable based spread or Vitalite, as both are dairy free, just as you woukd any other spread and the whole family can have those

My husband used to have ordinary milk and soya for me and I used the soya milk for cooking with when necessary like scrambled eggs - you won't notice the difference

You can use gluten free flour for cooking and to make your own cakes and biscuits

I think you would do well to read: healthscams.org.uk/soy-food...

As I have already said to Sandra32 the chief problem is our so called food has been tampered with and so it makes us ill. The food industry has a lot to answer for. Tibbly

I cannot have any dairy but can tolerate goats milk and cheese. No butter for me either.

You say milk is a problem. Are you getting your milk from the supermarket? If so that's been pasteurised, processed and homogenised; I'd hardly call it milk any more. Milk is a very important source of the B vitamins, and vitamins A, E and K but it must be whole and raw. Check out the Internet to see if there is a farmer within reach of you who is supplying whole, unpasteurised milk; you would probably find that the problem would disappear.

A well known doctor, the late Surgeon Captain T.L. Cleave FRCP (see: healthscams.org.uk/surgeon-... said do not tamper with food but eat it as near to as it comes out of the ground. Many of our ailments can be traced back to "tampered food". You don't need any special diet just eat basic fresh food and leave out the processed seed oils, namely the substitute spreads and cooking oils. They are not natural food for man. The same goes for bread, cakes and biscuits made with white flour, they are empty foods; only 100% wholemeal bread is regarded as proper food. I hope I have helped. Tibbly
