Hi cholestryamain is ok but does leave you with heartburn and blocked up,

Colesevelam is far better it's a tablet and is far the best for bile acid malabsorption,

in reply to Nomae

Hi,Is there a test for bile malabsorption? And I've been reading up on Colesevlam and it states it can cancel out other medications especially Thyroxinde.

Yes I sachet test envoles taking a tablet then having a scan then the following week another scan, colesevelam you should take this few hours later than your other medication, If you have malabsorption this is the best medication to take, it's easy on the stomach and far better than drinking colestyramine every day, hope this helps

I have been taking Cholestyramine for some time and have had no problems with it. It has made quite a difference to my life.

I took cholestryamaine for years but find colesevelam easier to take its tablet form and a lot milder on the stomach,

Cholestymine-thats a new one; have to find out bout that!

yes I know fibogel is for bulking but its got grain in it so I never bin able to have it.

GP said my colon gets so inflamed that fibers can stck in it and cause an infection.
