Has anyone else suffered from the same issue? My IBS had been soothed for years (since 2013), and came back.. different! More gastric symptoms and more sensitive to milk.
I was at my healthiest when I started following the paleo diet but it seems not to do the trick anymore.
Very frustrating.
Thanks!

IBS does louer you into a false sense of wellbeing and then comes back-its my idea of hell

Have you tried leaving all dairy out of your diet for at least 2/3 weeks
I was diagnosed with IBS in 2006 which lasted for about 2 years and disappeared when I moved to the UK. Last year it returned after I got a gastro infection - a stool test was useful to check for infections. Unfortunately the symptoms haven't disappeared even after treating the infection with antibiotics and confirming it had gone. An endoscopy and colonoscopy didn't find anything apart from a small sliding hiatus hernia. So, I'm now trying the low FODMAP diet and I'm noticing some improvement with it particularly from reducing fructans, e.g. onion and prebiotics.
My ibs 'disappeared' for a number of years...at least 5 yrs...then suddenly Here We Go Again... This happened after my apt bldg. caught on fire 3 years ago...and the stress is what I am 'crediting' this to. Even though its been that long ago. When you are in denial about how you REALLY feel about a traumatic incident, this takes its physical toll eventually.... going on a 100% grain free diet helped me tremendously... I also work with a therapist...now my ibs is an off and on again problem...Take care and good luck to you.
EiriniCENL I had IBS THRU MY 20s and it came back in my forties. Now starting again at 60,its back bigger than ever. I had to change my whole diet throughout my whole life. I THOUGHT I was cured thru ayurveda medicine in my 40s. BUT,it came back.
