Confused about IBS

Hi, I had endometriosis but had it treated and have been told by my gp after the faecal calprotectin test that I had IBD so they referred me, I've had a colonoscopy that was normal n r waiting for my biopsy results. I'm confused as I thought any faecal calprotectin test that was high as in 250 was a sure sign of inflammation n not IBS, although the consultant thinks it's IBS cos the no is too low to be IBD
