Sibo

I had a positive Sibo result from a Hydrogen breath test. I am trying a diet & supplement protocol to combat this, but at the moment my IBS-C is worse than ever! If this fails I would like to try antibiotics. Has any one else with IBS-C tried antibiotics for this and found them helpful, if so please could you tell me which one(s) were prescribed.

Thanks

I had it and was on antibiotic a few years ago. Sorry I don't remember what the medication was but it helped (along with absolutely zero sugar for a few days - SIBO feeds on sugar!

Hi JustmeJKT, thank you for your reply. Yes the diet is so hard! I'v been following low FODMAP for some time and this is even more strict! I think it's going to be a long journey as has IBS for years. Glad you had a good result 😃
