Hi I have just been diagnosed with IBS. I have some awful flare ups that do cause problems in my life. I get horrendous wind and runs and painful stomach cramping. Can anyone advise help?

Have you tried watching what you eat, I find wheat is my main problem as I have colitis, it could be something you are eating causing the problems. Keep a diary of what you eat, to see if a bad flare up happens when you eat certain foods.
