Could be that you have bile reflux. I have this and what you describe is exactly what have. I have bile reflux and have problems at night while using an overnight jejunal feeding tube which is attached to a pump. Because have bile reflux I have to take a liquid medication called Antepsin. It is an oral suspension coloured white and I take 5mls in the morning, lunchtime and last thing at night before bed. What is good about this medication is that you can take it up to 8 times a day on a bad day only otherwise only 5mls four times a day. Now also take a tablet called Motilium (Domperidone) three times a day. Nowdays keep the bile reflux under control but still have the odd bad day when I also have to take an antisickness tablet called Cyclizine. I hope you have success with your GP this afternoon. Maybe you need a Gastroscopy first to check that nothing else is going on before going onto medication. Good Luck.
I have post nasal drip all year round - this gives me a horrid taste in my mouth and over the past two years it has also changed the way I seem to taste things. The taste makes me feel nauseous at times but weirdly it doesn't give me halitosis.
I drink the smallest amount of skimmed milk in coffee and some cottage cheese and greek yogurt daily. Eggs probably once a week. I will give your suggestion a try - I lecture in nutrition at uni and I tend to be sceptical of some dietary stuff when I don't see really good scientific evidence for it. I'm probably my own worst enemy....I will give dairy a rest for a week and let you know.
Skimmed milk, cottage cheese and geek yoghurt will still contain dairy and there's also the spread you use for bread and cooking - if you are going to try dairy free it must be fully dairy free for a proper test
