Immodium

I wanted to know if anyone uses immodium to calm down the ibs hyperactivity pains. I don't really have diarrhea but definitely overactive. Just wondered if anyone has found a constant dosage that makes the system go at the right pace.

I have it on script under the generic name of loperamide.

I take 2 daily and more if I feel an attack coming on. Doesn't completely stop me having to take time off work but it's really helped the pain.

I also have prescription for these, I take two every day after going to the loo and extra if I need them

I have them on prescription and take one each morning but I only take

it when I have been to the loo to ensure it doesnt bung up the works.

Have you tried Mebeverine, obtainable on prescription which does help,

one before each meal. Maybe this would help you.

Yes I take it daily. I don't take the regular ones found in the store I order mine online in bulk. Kirkland-anti-diarrheal 200 caplets 2mg each.

I only take it when I have diarrhoea. For the hyperactivity pain I use milk of magnesia and it really helps. Much gentler on the stomach and doesn't cause you to get backed up.

I use immodium if have to journey....play golf....meetings....anything where I cant "escape". So use as needed...between one or three tabs of immodium plus.

Sometimes it is the fear of getting diorhea brings it on.

Yes, I use immodium every day and Buscopan for the pain. Every morning I have this problem with nothing to be anxious about . G.p says its just my body and too deep rooted now to find a cure after 42 years. Spoiled my life but if you can find a good reflexologist please try them . I was helped greatly , worse before it got better, but worth a try. I can't have it now because of breast cancer but if you are relatively well do give it a go. My problem is total anxiety/stress nothing to do with food . Good luck 👍🏻👍🏻
