The pain I'm getting is so bad.

It's stopping me from doing stuff as I don't think I should drive as the pain is so bad.

It's making me miserable, not even co-codamol touches the pain.

I know how you feel the pain is so bad I can't do anything it just stops you doing anything

You are not being in pain although that knowledge will probably not help. I take cocodomol as well as Neurofen gel. I doubt either helps much. What has been disturbing is that my ENT Consultant suggested my GP refer me to a Neurologist as I keep losing my balance my GP said it was due to neuropathy or diabetes. Rather than refer me to Orthopaedics for shoulder pain should be dealt with by the Physio. The Physio said we should keep an eye on other sources of pain round my waist and down my back. My GP said correctly that I have a number of on-going medical issues and I'me wondering if the Clinic has placed a cap on further expenditure only care. I wonder if anyone else has had cause to wonder similarly?

Try something that is for IBS like colpermin or one of the others, my son says it's really good.

None of them work for me Greenie, nor co codomol ,I haven't found anything that works for IBS. And I think I've tried everything there is to try. Anyone can come up with something that works ( as I have chronic IBS ) and I'll treat you to a holiday.lol

No I havent, I'm having kinesiology done in a few weeks and hoping that'll help find out what triggers it, I'm not having much luck.

I worry its not ibs as I can't find a trigger myself and I don't get "bloating" like the usual ibs sufferers, just really bad pain.

Didn't help I had a bad bout wednesday and then a migraine after

I am the same and have been in pain since I was 19- I am now 33. I find no relief and I cant have a relationship because of the 'smell' of gas, bloating and pain! :(

If co-codamol doesn't work to help the pain, how about something like Tramadol? It's the next step up on the 'ladder' of pain relief. After that there are things like Oramorph (liquid morphine which takes at least half an hour to work) or Zomorph which are slow release morphine tablets designed to work over many hours to provide longer lasting relief if you suffer 24/7 with pain. Please go back to your GP or gastro consultant and if necessary, push for a referral to the Pain Management team at your hospital where they can assess you and advise you in more detail. I've spent 7 years now trying to get on top of my pain so I can absolutely sympathise (and I have had every test, scan, diet and tablet you can imagine with no answers!). Good luck.
