The brave new world of the faecal transplant. (Vital read)

Just came across this article by the BBC on faecal transplants which seem to be having a remarkable effect on people with gut problems including IBS. Well worth a read. bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-275...

Such interesting read. Whilst with NHS surgical unit for years before my IBS diagnosed, I was given an MRI scan which involved injecting a milky liquid into anal area. Afterwards i just managed to get home before having to use the toilet. But then for 3 days I had normal poo at the same time every day no problems. I was cured! But no after that it wore off and back to old problem. ASU clinic had no answers. But what should be clear is that my colon/ intestine has been affected somehow, prob antibiotics, and the MRI stuff overcame the problem temporarily.

I did this 2x a few months apart using the same donor, but it didn't really do anything for me :(
