excruiating low abdominal pain after bowel movements.

open my bowels 4-5 times first thing &pain gets worse after each B M,doubled up in agony ,really getting me down ,dread mornings.on the 1 or 2 days a week i dont have a B M no pain,& im a different person.forgot to add Bms soft not diaorreah.under a gastrologist ( useless!)been hospitalised with pain last year ,had laposcopy which was clear.any advise gratefully accepted,thanks for reading

Hi, i suffer from IBS but I don't have too many flare ups and they are under control. By the way I should mention that I do not take any medication any more. Everyone is different but before you go to bed at night, look at the things that are you eating, spicy foods, alcohol, milk, leave out caffeine, drink herbal teas and lots of water and no STRESS! They all play a part with IBS. The medication they use to give me was Mebeverin and Tramadol, totally use less for me and the Tramadol was very addictive. I changed my diet and got rid of the stress, Have you tried a food diary and see what works and what doesn't. I'm not saying this will work for you but try it and see. Also if you are a smoker you should stop. I have the odd glass of wine once in a blue moon and cut out processed foods and fried foods. Cook your own food from scratch, its a lot healthier and your stomach will be alot happier. try breathing exercises as well. Hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have this. pain AFTER a BM. Like a reaction. to straining. I also have PD. I'm trying low FODMaps. It helps but the pain after BM is baffling. I found a prescription to Physical Therapy for Abdominal Pain, a specialty, is very helpful. Good luck. Hope you find the answer. I was painfree relatively for months, and had another attack last week so I'm still searching. Good luck.
