Can't work out what the difference is as ingredients seem to be the same.

Fellow IBS sufferers what is the different between Buscopan IBS Relief Tablets & Buscopan Cramps Tablets?
Hi! my pharmacist said there is no difference they have just re-vamped the packaging.
My pharmacist says it has to do with licensing. Although they are the same he gives the IBS version only to patients who have been disgnosed with IBS.
Exactly what I was told there is no difference and do exactly the same job but why there are two on the shelves is a bit of a mystery.
Just confuses people like me! If they're the same why does the company make 2 different packages - surely not cost effective? Odd.
They are both over the counter drugs under different names made fro different companies like Senokot then you get exactly the same under boots senna tablets it's just some are a brand name and some are made for other companies. Some are more expensive than others like paracetamol you can buy panadol or just boots 16 pence paracetamol all exactly the same but panadol in a brand name so you pay for the brand name it means nothing as they are all the same. Very confusing for the customer my advice is always read the ingredients and compare packets.
It's all to do with marketing. Think of it like Nurofen, Nurofen for Migraines, Nurofen for Period pain and Nurofen for back pain, then you get plain old ibuprofen. The ingredients is the same, only the name is different, and the price ... well for Nurofen (for anything), you're basically paying for the name. Whereas plain old ibuprofen is the generic name and marketed by various manufacturers and much cheaper!
Nothing read the ingredients exactly the same.
