I can't work out if I'm getting good intolerance. Doctors want me to eat wheat for 2 weeks which is impossible for me to do unless I want to look forward to complete pain. anyone else having same problems? Xx

hi yes it is very hard to eat wheat when you know the consequences that you have to put up with, but for some tests to be carried out the consultant has to see how your body reacts to it . i know when i had to do it the wheat effect didn't only last for the 2 weeks your eating it but about a 2 month s after, . if its not to get tests done i wouldn't put myself through it . To rule out coeliac you will need to eat wheat and do the test. I was like trishyb and suffered a lot longer. But the test showed I am not coeliac. I think my extreme reaction was because in the time I was told to eat wheat I ate wheat based cakes, pastry and donuts. This is how I then figured out that I had fructose malabsorption. (After ruling out coeliac the Drs didn't want to know)

So eat just bread and pasta..stay away from cakes and sugar - that way your body will thank you if you have another issue other than wheat.
