Hi Raneena,I had very similar symptoms when my IBS started 5 years ago. Heaviness in stomach, constant abdominal pain, feeling like I want to empty my bowels etc. I'm sorry to say that I didn't find an immediate cure to this. I changed my diet to include fruits, vegetables and probiotics, splitting my food into 5 small meals, exercising and drinking 3L of water etc. which gradually reduced those symptoms over a period of a year. Although I still have other IBS symptoms which haven't been cured yet.
It's possible that your condition improves quickly, and not take such a long time like it did for me. All strength to you! Good luck and hope you feel better
Hi Raneena, I've had ibs c for at least 30 years. I use to get this feeling I needed to empty my bowels even if I'd just been. I put it down constipation for me, it could be spasms making you feel like this. Over the years I've improved the constipation with diet. Eating more fruits vegetables. I've recently started drinking hibiscus tea. Its a light laxative and its definitely helping me with constipation, but if you do try it do research it as with some people it react on some health issues. One being diabetes and high BP. I've had no issues so far with my BP. If your problem carries on I would see you doctor.
You have Tenesmus, this is the feeling that you need to pass stools, even though your bowels are already empty. It is common in people with both IBS and IBD (I have both). It does come and go, so maybe an overhaul of your diet may well help. But in the first instance I would see your GP as they can make some suggestions.
These symptoms do sound like they could be IBS related. However, I would urge you to seek medical advice, in order to find out for sure what it is.
