Do you think I’m ok to have a tooth extracted while taking my TB meds for pulmonary TB ??

Just thought I’d ask before I ring up my respiratory/Tb doctor I don’t like to keep contacting them for trivial things . The dentist obviously won’t know the diagnosis and I’m unsure if I have to declare it??or even if it’s ok for me to have it removed while on this medication ? . Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello. You would have to check with your doctors to be sure. But I would suggest if it’s not and emergency tooth extraction then leave it until you are off of them, however if there is a problem then you must go. But apart from your doctor you also need to inform your dentist as a must. Good luck with it, but only they can really say.
