zytiga doubled my PSA in 1 month That's exactly why I have not taken it. Well there you go. be very careful what you take it's an experiment
I have resisted taking
zytiga
I took a little here and there. But PSA was rising so I said ok for a month and in 1 month solid my PSA went from 22 to 40 that's exactly why I don't trust these drugs. Be careful out there about what you take. I'm not taking any more. and we'll see what happens.

PSMA scan results at PSA 0.12
I would also like to add
zytiga
or Nubeqa in there for 12-18 months to address micro disease after IMRT/IGRT. Any thoughts re treatment plan. Thanks as always (at 1-2 pads still fear incontinence but this sounds like possible cure?? Odds 50/50?). Jim

Article: FDA grants 177Lu-PSMA-617 breakthrough designation for mCRPC
The open-label phase 3 VISION trial (NCT03511664) included 831 patients (1179 initially screened) with progressive PSMA-positive mCRPC who received at least 1 novel androgen axis drug (eg, enzalutamide [Xtandi] or abiraterone acetate [
Zytiga
]) and were previously treated with 1 to 2 taxane regimens.

SOC standard info on starting Xgeva without bone issues.
In Jan. 2020, after I had been on Lupron since 11/2018, my MO started me on Xgeva even though 1. I had never had a bone density scan and 2. Had no diagnosis of osteoporosis or other indicators of bone issues. In Sept. 2020 I had my first ever bone density scan and it was normal. Since then, I have read

Three clinical trial options after Zytiga fails
He’s 71, dx’ed nearly 3 years ago, and has already utilized Zoladex, docetaxel, and
Zytiga
and some targeted radiation. He’s had widespread mets since dx but largely feels pretty well (aside from Covid knocking him on his rear in October).

Can Abiraterone/Zytiga cause low blood sugar?
I’m diabetic and use an insulin pump. I’m on Abiraterone for about 5 months now, with hydrocortisone 10 mg per day to control Abiraterone side effects during PC treatment. Also took about 9 months Firmagon shots, but just switched to Lupron to preserve belly area for pump insulin insertion ports or continuous

Dad/Heart Risk with ADT. Almost 3 years in PSA good.
Not sure if a vacation or reducing the
Zytiga
by 1 is worth it...? He looks unhealthy and both his parents died under 80 of heart and stroke. PC seems to be under control at this time. No Mets. Thoughts? Would appreciate it greatly.

I was put on
Zytiga
, Eligard, Xgeva from the very start and PSA has been 0.1 ever since. I've also had Provenge treatments last June. While my fight continues the treatments have put a burden on my body and mind. The medicine has taken its toll on me.

Can Erleada/Apalutamide and Xtandi/Enzalutimide be used subsequently or is Xtandi ineffective after Erleada stops working?
Zytiga
is probably not appropriate for me due to Coronary Artery diseases plaque buildup (30-40% with stable angina, BP is normal, blood glucose around 96). I did not do chemo after initial treatment , so 4.5 years later I am in no mans land and probably wouldn't be offered chemo by doctors.

PSA raised rapidly after 2 months finishing chemo
If his doctor still has no advice on next treatment (i.e. wait for imagines of status progress), should he take
Zytiga
without a doctor’s prescription? Looking forward to receiving your advice and experience sharing. Thank you in advance, Dawn

Stop all meds
If you think you only have 8 months left why not stop adt and
Zytiga
? Won’t having the drugs out of your body and your testosterone back at least give you a feeling that you are more yourself? Quality of life should enter into the equation? Or am I way off on this?
