Remark by Oncologist did not make sense
He stated that Psa may not be a good indicator of my situation and the the
zytiga
I have been on for the last 3 months is probably not working. I ask him how many more options I have left and the discussion turned to men with rising Psa have on average about 18 years give or take.

Suggestions on next step of therapy
Started Lupron then, added
Zytiga
/Prednisone in May 2019. Due to also having progressive MS we opted for the
Zytiga
approach as opposed to docetaxel. My existing neuropathy was concerning and I didn't want to possibly add to it with the docataxel treatment. Original PSA of 368, ALP 575.

30 Days on Zytiga - PSA went up
Hello Warriors: Just got the results back on my first 30 days on
Zytiga
added to my ADT. The PSA went from 4.6 to 7.8. Does that mean the
zytiga
does not work????? Comments appreciated thanks.

Zytiga and dexamethasone
My husband has been on
zytiga
and dexamethasone since mid August. Lately he has become much angrier and some weight gain. Also it seems like his feet aren’t working as well. Has anyone else seen these symptoms with this drug combination? Thank you in advance.

psa rise, but scans stable
He feels since
Zytiga
stopped working these other meds won't work either. I have heard after chemo, sometimes they do. I can't really argue with a doctor as who am I? wife only. We are in South Jersey, any suggestions?

Aberateron Acetate stopped working
Casodex and then
Zytiga
and prednisone with Lupron shots and now psa is over 4. Doc switched to Xtandi. Coming off prednisone is causing pain at met sites, we think. Any thoughts? We will definitely take prayers! I don't write often- but appreciate you all so much!

Supplements to take during IMRT while on Zytiga
He has been on
Zytiga
since September 2019. PSA is now at 6.18, up from 3.6 two months prior. I’ve seen several posts on supplements to take while undergoing radiation treatment but don’t want to add anything that will interfere with
Zytiga
.

Androgen Cycling Shows Promise in Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer
"Following disease progression with abiraterone (

Apalutamide + Abiraterone combo shows good results in Phase III trial
The trial showed a 30% reduction in disease progression or death for people with mCRPC taking the drug combo (22 vs. 16 months) vs. those taking abiraterone (
Zytiga
) alone: https://www.janssen.com/janssen-presents-results-from-phase-3-acis-study-patients-with-metastaticcastration-resistant-prostate-cancer

He was immediately put on ADT+

, he had 40 days of radiation as well, his PSA dropped to 0.04 and stayed there. He had to stop
zytiga
soon after radiation began since his liver score increased. Since radiation, he is only on Lupron! Then Dr.

Should I try Zometa for Castrate sensitive Bone mets on ADT
Dx April 2020 on ADT Orchiectomy and
Zytiga
. PSA came down from 300 in April, now 0.1. However bone pain persists. Visited a new Dr, and he recommends Zoledronic acid infusions. I am Castrate sensitive according to the definition, but scans show some progression despite this fact, in my bones.

Weight gain after stopping ADT
In June I finished taking
Zytiga
. Since then I've been gradually gaining weight (about two Kg). Some part of of the weight I guess can be attributed to the muscles i'm regaining - been working out two to three times a week, and indeed I feel stronger. Did you experience something similar?

I just learned something new about prednisone.
So my doc is putting me on Xtandi since
Zytiga
didn't work for me for very long which is a bummer. Since I was running out of it doc said keep taking it until it's gone and then switch to Xtandi. Well.... it still hasn't come yet and it's been a month. since my doc ordered it.
