Good Report
My only treatments so far have been
Zytiga
, Eligard, Provenge, and Xgeva which I was on for a year but stopped after it started causing jawbone loss I had to have dead bone removed twice.

information on BITE trial: anyone have experience with BITE?
it seems my partner is losing ground fast on Standard Care Lupron + (
Zytiga
failed in less than 8 months); he's on Chemo (Docetaxel (the first 4 failed out of 7 infusions) + Carboplatin (3).

How is PSMA PET scan being used in your experience?
He feels that FDG imaging has been sensitive enough to follow any changes in my disease process and is not motivated to send me elsewhere for a PSMA PET since he does not think it would change my current treatment which is Lupron and
Zytiga
/pred with a PSA that rose and plateaued at about 18.

Got PSMA SCAN Results-Now What?
Dr Sartor was able to start me on 1000 mg of abiraterone acetate (
Zytiga
) and 5 mg of prednisone, that same day. April 9 a local oncologist gave me a 3 month dose of leoprolide acetate (Lupron).

Removal after Twenty Years
Well folks, after diagnosis of advanced cancer in 2000, no removal of prostate, radiation and Zoladex, 2006 recurrence and chemotherapy, continued Lupron only until 2016, added Casodex for two years, then Erleada for two years, then
Zytiga
for two years and now with MRI revealed and biopsy confirmed

Bone Scan question
Hello fellow warriors, my latest CT and bone scan is showing no new lesions, hoping for
Zytiga
to lower PSA further, asked oncologist if bone scan would show decrease of mets in the future and he responded that the tracer used will still be taken up by the repaired areas as well so that we would not

Chemo with docetaxel?
I recently posted about my experience with
Zytiga
, and the proposed switch to Erleada, which I haven't yet tried, partly due to cost and difficulties of getting it in Cyprus, where I live. One specialist has proposed starting chemo with docetaxel.

day by day
(Docetaxel(Taxotere) and
Zytiga
have already failed him.) This shitty disease. I’ve never felt so hopeless and useless. My heart breaks over and over. I don’t respond with empty sentiments that may not be true and softly tell him we’ll deal with the test results when we get them.

PSA rise
Have been on Lupron and
Zytiga
for five years now. PSA has been increasing exponentially .02, .04, .16 Is this an indication that my medication is losing its effectiveness?

After months of urinary tract problems, I was finally diagnosed with Stage 4 Advanced Prostate Cancer with a Gleason score of 9 by the VA
The oncologist put me on Firmagon in February and
Zytiga
plus prednisone in March. The PSA went from a high of 160 down to under 4, after 3 or 4 months on ADT. A couple of months ago my PSA started creeping back up. Now it is at 20. Testosterone is less than 7. The normal range is 241-827.

A little hiccup…I hope
Weird blood test I’m on long term ADT, Eligard
zytiga
prednisone Just heard from my GP after blood draw. Upshot is my folate has dropped fairly drastically to double digits from the mid hundreds. I noticed a drop in my hemoglobin as well..understandably…I’ve always been a little anemic.

AST and ALT elevated
Before radiation and start of
Zytiga
all blood counts were normal. Not sure if the AST/ALT elevation is due to radiation or
Zytiga
or both? Could anyone recommend any supplements that would help liver during this treatment or recommend a holistic doctor in Orange County California?

Not responding
Zytiga
, Lynparza, Keytruda. With the Docetaxel his psa just keeps going up. He just had his fourth round. Spoke with his local oncologist yesterday. He said if someone doesn’t respond to Docetaxel it ususally is a poor prognosis. I have not yet heard from Dana Farber Dr Beltran.

Immediate vs Deferred Treatment of BCR after primary and adjuvant therapies. ADT, now or later?
I have low but notable PSA (<.05, 0.15, 0.29, 0.16, 0.29 over the last few months), all after after RALP and adjuvant RT with 18 months of ADT +
Zytiga
. Will learn results from from genomic testing and a PSMA PET MRI last week and then meeting with my MO on Wednesday.

Where do I go from here?
: 1.Keytruda now (genetic test shows MSI-High) 2.Docetaxel now 3.Maintain status quo (
Zytiga
+ Firmagon) until change in PSA 4.Radiate mets 5.Treat primary MO suggested starting Docetaxel now and save Keytruda until PSA starts rising.

Zytiga and Prednisone dosage
I’m currently taking 5mg prednisone daily along with my 1000mg abiraterone. I’ve noticed that my blood pressure has been creeping up… averaging maybe 140/80. Is this a case where I would maybe be a candidate for 10 mg of prednisone instead of just 5mg? I see my oncologist next week and plan on asking
