What is your peak flow normally?
Mine is 460-480 normally. I just started using it for a few days and it always stays there. I am female and 157. I was just curious about yours.

update
I wrote on here yesterday for advice about fostair. I have since spoken to a asthma nurse and the extra doses between the am and pm is because my asthma is not controlled. she adviced me to get a aerochamber plus and assess my peak flow over the weekend as either im not getting enough medicine or its

Coughing
Well had to give in and go to the Drs today after cough slowly getting worse and hardly any sleep over the last few days peak flow down from 370-400 to 320 this morning. Back on pred again with an order to keep a check on peak flow and any more dip then straight to hospital, so fingers crossed 🤞🏻See

Damp weather and Asthma
The damp weather is making my chest ache but peak flow as usual rock solid. I was wondering what other people's experiences and what they do if dampness is a trigger.

An update
So for the people who've been supporting me the last week I just want to give you an update. I went to a and e this morning. My peak flow was down to 270 and my best is 470. I was nebulised and an X-ray was done which showed nothing. So they sent me home straight away. I've since had to have my inhaler

Suffering with chest problems for three months.
Hi I'm new here but have been following post for the last couple of months. Basically I have been using a ventoline for about 30 years. I've never had an asthma attack or anything like that I just get a bit tight chested and wheezy every now and then so I use to use the inhaler about 1 puff 3 to 5 times

Poor peak flows
I've had a recent example exacerbation of my asthma which resulted in a stay in hospital. I had already had my usual preventer - symbicort 200 and a course of 40mgs pred over 5 days. I was discharged on another 5 day course of pred and still had peak flows, at this point of 200 to 250. Back to the docs

Still feel grotty post prednisolone.
Hi all, I had an asthma attack a week ago and ended up getting put on a nebuliser, then sent home a few hours later with 5 days of 40mg pred. I've finished the steroids and my peak flow is still shooting up and down between 65% and 80%, still very phlegmy, and lungs feel heavy with some sharp pains.

Hi everyone. I was diagnosed with pneumonia 4 days ago after second trip to dr. in 4 weeks. The first time I went Dr. said it was just a sinus infection and put me on low dose zpak, which didn't work. Went to walk in clinic Sunay very sick and short of breath. Xray revealed mild pneumonia

COPD beginner
I am 78 and after smoking for over 50 years and stopping 11 years ago have just been told I have COPD. My peak flow is 250 and I don't take any medication. I have a number of questions I would like to ask members of the forum: 1. I see mentions of percentages such as 80%, 90% - to what do these relate

help- a little advice/knowledge? copd/asthma/anything?
After Christmas I went to doctors with wheezing chest ,tighteness, cough, unable to exercise. I'm 29 and these symptoms have started after I stopped smoking a year ago- but increasingly got worse. My recommended peak flow should be 440 but was 350 so my GP give me a reliever inhaler-which barely made

Your Asthma and Blood Pressure
Many Asthmatics sensibly monitor various Health Indicators such as Peak Flow (via a Home Peak Flow Meter) Blood Oxygen Level (via a Home Finger Pulse Oximeter) and Blood Pressure (via a Home Blood Pressure Monitoring Meter). Known, or undetected, Cardio issues can often contribute to (or be the sole

Exacerberation
Hi I'm trying to hang on till drs opens to avoid going back to a and e, following last night's visit. My chest X ray was clear which supervised me because it feels I have fluid on the lungs. I'm constantly coughing after several days of vomiting up white foam and thick yellow mucus. Now mostly dry
