I wonder how low long folks here took before they noticed any improvements on Dupi. I've been on Xolair on-off since 2007, and for the last year it was not helping as much as it used to. They tried replacing it with Benra, and it got really bad. Now they are trying to replace it with Dupi. I am at the beginning of week 3 (also off Xolair on week 3), and I mostly feel the effects of Xolair discontinuation (slow deterioration).
While I was doing well on Xolair, I was also receiving de-sensitization injections twice a week (in the US). I now wonder if it were the shots that were helping all along, not Xolair per se. But they are hard to get in Europe and the UK.

Thank you, Tree. I guess I can always go back on Xolair which was better than nothing. Are you currently on Xolair and happy to be on it? In the USA, I received Xolair every 2 weeks, not once a month (the overall dose was prob the same per month).
I'm in the US. I have been on Xolair once per month since August or September 2016. It took 9 months to feel a difference. I went 5 months without prednisone then longer without prednisone.... Average once per year. The last 2 times, doc tried shorter courses-5 days instead of 12(with a taper). It worked!
My last course (knock on wood) was 2021 in December and doc did a 3 day burst of 30mg, my lowest dose in 10 years. It worked. I still used albuterol, too. I have used albuterol to break some potential exacerbations the last couple of years, too.
So far, Xolair once a month is working. The first couple of years, I could feel it wear off week 3. Now I don't. I also have been giving it to myself for 2 years.
It's good they now allow people to administer mAbs themselves. In 2007, I had to spend 1.5 hrs at the doc office each time.
It could be that I should have stayed on Xolair longer this time before trying to switch to Dupi. Who knows. The docs said if no effect in 6 months, it's no longer working. They used the asthma questionarie and the lung function tests. Now I am worried that if Dupi does not work they won't give me Xolair again, and I will be totally unprotected.
