Anyone familiar with Xgeva injection?
My oncologist wants to start me on an
Xgeva
injection every 4 weeks. Was wondering if anyone has had it and any side effects. I am a bit hesitant after reading the side effects. Would appreciate any info. Pat D

Metastatic Prostate cancer to bone - next step chemo
Still on lupron, xtandi,
xgeva
. Have done zytega/prednisone, Provenge, xofigo, SRS on 3 lumbar bone Mets last month. Psa 1.3 before radiation. Really worried about doing taxotere. Is it really hard? Sick, hair loss, more fatigue?

Introduction-new here
Just added
Xgeva
in March. Expecting to take Ibrance and letrozole starting next week. Just recently started w muscle and bone tightness. I wouldn’t call it pain. Just feels like I overworked at gym. Walking or stretching do help it. I think the
xgeva
is making me itch.

My medication is Zytiga w/ Prednisone,ELIGARD injections every six months and
Xgeva
injections monthly to strengthen my bones. While I know it's not for everyone it seems to be working for me.

Coffee
Does anyone have any suggestions for maintaining your energy level while on Lupron and
Xgeva
? Coffee was doing the trick but appears to be causing too many other problems. Thanks!

Seeking a new MO
Currently on Eligard and
XGeva
with decent results for about one year (PSA < 1.0, three bone mets decreased in size since starting treatment, and no new mets). Have not had any operations, radiation, or chemo yet.

New to this Site
He was put on Lupron and
Xgeva
injections and then had 6 IV chemo treatments of Taxotere. He finished that in December 2016. PSA was 0.1 and pain was gone. He has gone through the usual side effects of Lupron that takes your muscle strength and feeling like a man.

Bone mets?
As my profile states, I’m on ADT3 and
Xgeva
. Could these pains just be side effects of treatments? What should I do next? Bob

Drug break
I also take
Xgeva
for my bones, Letrozole and Ibrance, along with various other pain meds, depression and anxiety meds and several different nausea meds. For 3 months I have been very sick with vomiting and bowel issues. They have run tests and done procedures and we can't figure it out.

Prevalence of Osteonecrosis of the Jaw [ONJ].
The risk is significant with bisphosphonates &
Xgeva
, & might not be properly explained before treatment. And one's dentist might not be on the ball. In the U.S.,
Xgeva
is now approved for multiple myeloma, having been found non-inferior to Zometa.

New here
Treatments: Firmagon then Lupron, Bicalutamide 50 MG daily,
Xgeva
for bone health. Also, had spot radiation both legs, shoulder, helped with pain. Thinking I need to push harder for Zitiga instead of Bicalutamide.

New Treatment Plan
She took me off all of the above medications and I am starting Faslodex tomorrow and already started
Xgeva
, and those will be the only treatment for now. Just wondered if anyone has been taking just the
xgeva
and faslodex shots and how you are doing?

Pain in hands
I have been on Ibrance, Letrozole and
Xgeva
for 14 cycles. So far Cancer is stable. Thank God! However, one morning I woke up and my hands were hurting so bad. I am having trouble doing every day tasks. Brushing my teeth, combing my thin hair, personal hygiene, turning doorknobs, etc.

MBC cancer diagnosis
My oncologist recommended letrozole, Ibrance and
Xgeva
. Two PET scans and six months later the breast tumors had shrunk and other areas of concern had either shrunk or disappeared. My main side effects are fatigue, low white blood cell count, hair thinning and the return of hot flashes.
