Advice for upcoming Chemo treatment
We began with Lupron (every 3 months) and
XGEVA
monthly. His PSA dropped down to 13 and we were so happy and thankful. Unfortunately, his PSA levels began climbing. I had read about how great Zytiga was and I wanted my dad to try it.

One-Year In -- Looking for help with a medical plan
Also started monthly
XGeva
injections. No other medication. Results, with quarterly PSA tests: PSA dropped to 0.85-0.90 range where it is now. Side effects minimal with only many hot flashes early but very minimum now. Fatigue and some leg weakness is now starting to materialize.

Newbie with questions
I’m treating with Firmagon and
Xgeva
every 4 weeks, casodex and prednisone daily, docetaxel and neulasta every 3 weeks. Plan is to add Zytiga after we finish the 6 docetaxel treatments. I wouldn’t wish Docetaxel on my worst enemy, but i’m over half finished.

Low Testosterone Level
I'm stage 4 close to 5 years since devinci removal, lupron, casodex and
xgeva
, PSA under 0.02. Question - my testosterone level is "3" which sounds good but I can't get a response I understand on its relationship with PSA, etc.

MD Anderson today
Will continue Lupron and
Xgeva
shots. I am preparing for bone scan and then CT, after which Dr Corn will co suit with his colleagues, so I suppose this isn’t his final recommendation just yet but I think unless any results are drastically unexpected it will be. My PSA is down from 556 to 2.6.

Side effects
My mom was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer a year and a half ago and has been on ibrance and letrozole and gets monthly
Xgeva
. She has been doing well but seems to have more side effects now than when she first started. Aches and pains (back and hips) headaches, and hair thinning/dryness.

I'm Struggling
The site he's most concerned about is T5, which doesn't show up on the bone scan, but on the CT scan there is evidence of Lysis (bone destruction) so he's recommended spot radiation there too, along with 4-weekly
Xgeva
shots (I had the first one yesterday).

Joint Pain
My husband finished 6 cycles of docetaxel in June 2017, and is now on monthly firmagon, monthly
xgeva
and daily casodex. He has suffered from joint pain since the end of the chemo, starting in his feet, but now in his fingers, elbows and knees.

3 years of bliss
I was put on Ibrance 125mg. with the monthly
Xgeva
& Faslodex injections. I just had my first scan after being on the Ibrance for 4 cycles & it showed the cancer is "controlled" not in remission, but controlled. Not sure what that means but will get more info when I see my Onc. next week.

Anyone with similar experience?
Then treated with taxotere with prednisone and
xgeva
injections then treated with cabazitaxel and finally xtandi while still getting
xgeva
injections monthly. The xtandi seemed to be working well - brought his PSA down to .80 but suddenly he had difficulty walking.

New to site
I am on Faslodex, Ibrance and
Xgeva
. I seem to be stable at this time and the doctors are pleased with how my body is handling these drugs.

Zytiga??
Been on Lupron and
Xgeva
/Prolia ever since. I am now CRPCa as my PSA has been rising slowly over the last couple years. Last test in December was 5.551. My oncologist is starting me on Zytiga and Prednisone next week. I'm sure many on here have followed the same path. Wondering what to expect.

Early Christmas Gift
No change of treatment just Lupron quarterly and
xgeva
. I asked him if there were new drugs in the horizon and said confidently YES but not yet approved.

Progression Report
Tomorrow I will have my first
Xgeva
shot, then Thursday I will have an MRI and CT simulation for the radiation. I hope that means the radiation will start early next week. I’m expecting 5-10 sessions. We’ll get that nailed down on a Thursday.
