Doing well on Taxol. TM down by half!
In 2023, it became triple negative and I was on
Xeloda
for a few months. It stopped working and I've been on Taxol for about 5 or 6 infusions. CA 27-29 dropped from 725 in January to 355 on Tuesday. So I'm really going to be able to celebrate that anniversary next week!

Grateful for 10 weeks exploring NZ
Hi ladies- I’m so grateful to be on 3rd line treatment (
xeloda
) and still br out traveling. I’m much better than Last year when I came and I had just started
xeloda
and with new HFS had to be in a wheelchair to get through all the airports.

A brief stint with
Xeloda
(for 6 days...6 days of pure torture)…and to tell you the truth, I FEEL FANTASTIC!! I am still on long acting oxycodone for pain, but that’s it. It seems my team is grasping at straws as to what to do with me.

Trodelvy after one year update
In March 2021 we switched to
Xeloda
/Capcetabine oral chemo. Aside from the hand foot struggles, which were helped by lots of your input, it was fairly tolerable and worked for a year.

Elacestrant
Hello Ladies, About a month ago I wrote my oncologist started me on
Xeloda
. Ibrance quit working. Well she is now starting me on Elacestrant. It was approved by the FDA January 2023. All my caris DNA shows I’m still HER-. Does anyone have experience using this pill? I realize it is fairly new!

Update: post-radiation and New meds
I have enjoyed an interval of no chemo meds while undergoing radiation and this washout period is actually getting me ready for the next step in meds...In my previous post I had written that I was choosing
Xeloda
because I feared the fulvestrant shots and blood sugar impact from Piqray.

MRI on Monday
I think this will be the first MRI since I started
Xeloda
earlier this year. Cancer had stopped being E + and became triple negative, not good news at all. So, hopefully this will let me and my treatment team know if the
Xeloda
is working.

Xeloda and Afinitor in lieu of Piqray
In seeking out a second opinion I’ve been told to inquire about
Xeloda
and Afinitor. Just curious if anyone has experience with these as they don’t specifically target the PIK3CA gene mutation. Thanks!

Shortage of Chemo drugs
Xeloda
(Capecetabine) is in short supply right now as well. For anyone using chemo agents, keep in close contact with your doctors and pharmacies as to avoid having to skip doses due to non availability!! Take care!

What's next after Xeloda?
Hi all, just got disappointing CT scan results showing strong progression after only 7 months on
Xeloda
. I've messaged my oncologist to find out what the next options may be so I can research them before our appointment.

This news is a bit late for us as my wife has had to move on from

Will Start Xeloda Soon
I'm searching
Xeloda
and reading past stories from members here. When Ibrance, Fulvestrant, Xgeva stopped working after 6 mos. of treatment, next were 6 weekly (3 on / 1 off) treatments of Taxol 150 mg which I learned today isn’t working. Next up is
Xeloda
. I am avoiding Piqray as long as I can.

At a crossroads
I am now comparing
Xeloda
with Afinitor and wondering if you all have any information to share about side effects from these medicines. Any ideas are welcome!

bone met pain or something else ?
My mom started Doxil this June after new spots appeared with
Xeloda
after 1 full year. This July she broke her vertebrae (t4) this was a spot where the cancer showed up and she had a fall in the meantime and it broke.

Feeling low. Wind out of my sails
He said I could do another round of Enhertu and I just said, look, just over a year now and I have gone through
xeloda
, vinorelbine and now enhertu. Markers back then were at 70. Last pet was in June. He asked for the scan well over a month ago. Finally today, he wrote on it stating it was urgent.

Hard week so far
The gastro-doc sent two new and badly needed Rxs to the specialty pharmacy that I get
Xeloda
from rather than the local pharmacy where I get all other meds and where they know me and offer me such great service that I buy there rather than the mail Rx ooffered by my med insurance.
