Xeloda

I am now on my fifth line of treatment which is Xeloda. I experience heart problems and may need a pacemaker. I have been going through the cardio evaluation for the past two weeks. I am very upset and down I need some positivity Thank you so much. Best, Marina

Hi everyone I have been on Xeloda for Five cycles. I also did a booster 1.5 weeks ago. My hemoglobin was also lower 9.8 this month. I started experiencing shortness of breath while walking. The tumor markers were going down on Xeloda. Thus, I can assume that hopefully Xeloda is working.

I am on Xeloda and Aromasin now and the tumor markers are going up.

Trying to avoid going to oral chemo (Xeloda) if there’s another viable option. Anything that has a risk for pneumonitis is not an option due to a prior severe case from the iBrance. Thanks to all.

Xeloda failed after 6 months. Three months of Verzenio were the most miserable 3 months of my life and resulted in 3 new lesions. After 60 days of fulvestrant, the discomfort I'm feeling in my upper right quadrant is almost certainly further progression.

I am doing well on Xeloda but my oncologist and I are always discussing next steps. I am NOT triple negative nor do I have the BRACA mutation BUT have the ATM mutation.

Starting Cyber Knife next week and onc has not yet decided on next treatment (Xeloda? Morpheus trial? Etc?).

I started my third round of Xeloda. I got my bloodwork today. My neutrophils went down but lymphocytes went up. Did anyone experience this problem? Thank you Marina

Xeloda-6 mos. Verzenio-3mos. Now it looks like Faslodex is out.

I am taking Xeloda now. My oncologist said that if the spread stops it’s possible to go back on the treatment I had been before. Can you share your experience with me. Also if someone was on IV chemo and then went back on pills please share. Thank you , Marina

Hi wonderful people, I am on me second round of Xeloda after the disease progressed to new bones and liver. It’s my fifth line of treatment over two years. I was diagnosed with MBC in 2019.

They decided to put her on oral chemo, Xeloda. On which she has been since then. They lowered her dose several times due to the hand and foot syndrome and currently she is taking 4x500mg, two in the morning and two at night for two weeks and then one week off.

Also if you know of any research into this version of taking xeloda - I could show it to my oncologist. Thanks!

Hi ladies, I have been in Xeloda for two weeks and my liver function enzymes jumped up high. The doctor took me off for two weeks already and repeated the bloodwork. The AST and ALP went slightly down while AlP (Alkaline phosphate) jumped up from 187 to 301 while I was on Xeloda rest.

I don’t know whether to just stop treatment or try the Xeloda and see what happens. Looking for advice and support.

I have been on Xeloda for 2 months , 1 week on 1 week off. No side effects so far however I just had a cat scan and no change. I also take Letrozole daily and Zometa once a month. Thank you.

counts ast 109, alt 128 and alkaline phosphates 187 The calcium is also low, thus the doctor cancelled x geva and put me on one more week off Xeloda.

I developed pneumonitis and had blood in my sputum when I coughed so now after a two month break and radiation therapy I will be moving on to Xeloda next week if my labs are good. Any advice on Xeloda is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Esther
