bone met pain or something else ?
My mom started Doxil this June after new spots appeared with
Xeloda
after 1 full year. This July she broke her vertebrae (t4) this was a spot where the cancer showed up and she had a fall in the meantime and it broke.

Hard week so far
The gastro-doc sent two new and badly needed Rxs to the specialty pharmacy that I get
Xeloda
from rather than the local pharmacy where I get all other meds and where they know me and offer me such great service that I buy there rather than the mail Rx ooffered by my med insurance.

very good apt with onc
SShe put me on
Xeloda
and has lowered the dose twice due to side effects-hands very tender, red, with splitting skin. Those side effects have lessened enough that I can live with current side effects. I asked her if feeling cold all the time could be
Xeloda
related and she said a very firm yes.

Starting Xeloda
I will start
Xeloda
this Wednesday, and may have targeted radiation on my head. I am wondering what everyone's experience has been with this drug. I know everyone is different, but I was concerned about the peeling and burning on your palms and bottom of your feet. Also, GI upsets.

I am stable, on
Xeloda
since cancer cells changed from E+ to TN. But she thought I should see a gastroenterologist as there appears to be some thickening in the lini ng of my stomach.

I’m going to start
xeloda
in a couple of days. My mbc has progressed in bones and now a spot on the liver. Any info for me for people that are on it? They are stopping the fulvesterant which was all I was on and he really wants to do chemo but I want to try this first.

new meds
I am about to take capecitabine (
Xeloda
) and because of a mutation also about to take Neratinib (nerlynx). They really talk about nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Bad enough that I have to go in and make sure I’m not malnourished which is making me apprehensive about taking this medicine.

Watching Chuck get his new hat in tiaras and our Royal Robes…(well bath robes) Did you watch too?
Still any one on an effective dose of
xeloda
would be worried about all that walking with burning feet. Luckily my great oncologist had encouraged me to drop the dose by one pill per day just for one cycle. I will let you know how it all goes!

xeloda and appetite
I'm on round 4 of
Xeloda
and my appetite is very poor. I'm losing weight which isn't good. Most foods just sound "gross" to me. Rice, pasta, cereals and yogurts are good but not enough protein/carbs. Anyone have some ideas on foods that have what I need and may be appealing to me? thanks.

Capecitabine (Xeloda)
Tomorrow I start taking Capecitabine (
Xeloda

I have previously been on: Ibrance/Letrozole (1 yr), Faslodex (2 months),
Xeloda
(1 year), Taxol (1yr), and Carbo ( 8 weeks). I am grateful that we have so many options and I honestly never "felt" the cancer until now, so it is scary . Appreciate all of you. Allison

Update – surgery tomorrow, then on to Xeloda
My oncologist has decided to put me on
Xeloda
as the next line of treatment. I continue to struggle with her lack of hope in her answers, and am really looking forward to a second opinion with another doctor in Florida we have set up when we can hopefully get back down.

(I have taken on board all the things some of you suggested about the choices between Piqray and
Xeloda
, and I still think I may go on the trial, as I can come off either one of them and try the other at any time on the trial.

Starting Xeloda soon
Onc stated
Xeloda
is next and Herceptin after when that fails. I am 44 in a couple weeks, single and still working because I need the great insurance. Quality of life has been great and have been able to lead a pretty normal life.
