Son keeps zoning out and giggle
Hi, I'm new here and my son (7 y/o) was diagnosed with ADHD. The biggest problem was that he was daydreaming, very hyper, lack of concentration. He was constantly playing with his hands like they were the toys. And 2 months ago he started zoning out and giggle. Like the emotions on his face changes ,

Terrible Insomnia w/ Adderall XR
Anyone else experience terrible insomnia from Adderall XR? How did you get over it? I'm averaging 4 hours of sleep, unless I take an Ambian, which is not sustainable. I've started taking the 20mg pill at 4am, as opposed to 8am, which after several days has yet to help me get to sleep at a reasonable

First time Adderall XR use- is this normal?
Hi all! After years of putting it off because of fear of doctors/medication I have finally been diagnosed with ADHD inattentive. I took my first dose of Adderall XR (20mg) yesterday for the first time and after about an hour/2 my brain finally felt like it was resting (I guess “at peace” is how I would

Looking for some tech help to improve my life.
I want to improve my quality of life and be more productive. I am successful at work and have done a lot to improve there. I have a bullet journal that I use but not as much as I use to. I attend Church and my faith is important to me. I'm an extrovert but don't have many friends. I have people I talk

Side effects from switching between stimulants?
Hello! I spent the last month on Vyvanse and did not love it. I switched back to Adderall XR for a three days and now am back on the generic XR, which is what worked the best for me in the past (there was an insurance change that had me on the brand name XR, which caused a bunch of unpleasant side effects

Baricitinib - 3 weeks in
When I started baricitinib, I had some idea that i would be back to normal in a week or two - cooking, gardening, walking around the village doing errands. . . After 6 months of pain and fatigue with Simponi which was not working, I put a lot of hope in this new medication. Previous to the Simponi,

looking for suggestions for a new technical career
Hi all, I'm new here. I have a four-year Engineering degree. I never landed a job in my field, in large part due to my ADHD. I wasn't diagnosed until I was 45 because I'm not fidgety. I'm 54 now. I take Adderall XR (20 mg) on work days, which is tremendously helpful for about eight hours; I try to

Extended Release Medication Problems
I find I crash hard from Adderall XR but not the IR. Anyone else have those issues? I've heard some people have problems with extended release medications but can't find any research on it to present to my doctor.

Adderall XR experience.
We are on day 3 of 10mg adderall XR with my 6 year old son. It’s been heartbreaking so far. He’s so irritable and emotional. The sitter says he hasn’t even laughed or smiled today. We are trying to give it a good week, but gosh… it’s hard to know what to do!

Goodbye Simponi, going to try baricitinib
I have been taking Simponi, a once a month biologic injection, for 6 months now. The effect on my painful joints has been minimal, and it would only last 3 to 4 weeks each month. With the pain, stiffness, and exhaustion I have dealt with all these months, I can't wait to leave it behind. I will be

Decreased appetite & picky eater
Hi - So my 6 year old son has been on Adderall XR and as his dose has increased we are now seeing a large decrease in his appetite. He is a thin kiddo as it is, so losing weight isn't something he has much leeway on. He's just over 4ft tall and 46 lbs. I've been giving him incentives for eating which

Meds and Marijuana use
I smoked marijuana a fair amount about 16 years ago before I was diagnosed with ADHD and then I just stopped. A few years later I was diagnosed with ADHD and I have anxiety with a bit of depression. I’ve been taking Adderall for several years now, currently taking Adderall XR 25mg twice a day, Cymbalta

Help finding a therapist
Hi! I'm new and kinda lost. I'm hoping someone can please me. We had my son tested last year for ADHD. We received the test results the same week as the pandemic. He is 10 yrs old and in 4th grade. His pediatrician has him on Focalin XR since last summer, which I think helps some days and not others

Focalin XR Parents
Hi All, Looking for some feedback on what to feed my child before Focalin XR 10 mg. He's 8, recently diagnosed with ADHD after a LONG LONG road trying to figure out why he couldn't control his emotions. We've had GREAT results so far, but noticed some dips around lunch time, and variation on when things
