Are rate control drugs necessary when heart rate is within a "normal range" although AF is 24/7?

GP took me off Bisoprolol and put me on Adizem-XL instead (I also have Warfarin and Losarten). I had to stop the Bisoprolol for a few days before starting the

I am now on VENSIR XL 225mg daily, QUETIPINE 25mg 1 twice daily and DIAZEPAM 5mg 3 a day plus TEMAZEPAM 20mg at night.....yet I feel more suicidal than ever before. Three weeks without pacing the floor every night for hours!!!
I started taking Requip XL 4mg three weeks ago because my standard one was not available (out of UK at the time). Apparently the slow release is not used here for RLS but I managed to get it from my GP as I told her my symptoms were so much better. It's been three weeks now and I've had hardly any symptoms

Swollen Feet and Ankles
I have put my question somewhere else - am not familiar with the new system as yet. I am on Dilzem XL capsules and they certainly have improved my breathing but I really have very swollen feet and ankles. The leaflet inside the box says one in ten people suffer with swollen feet whilst taking this

Hi has anyone taken this drug? I was given it and I am sure it made my symptoms worse in less than 2 weeks! I had to be admitted for the 2nd time in a month for three days with a rate of over 203 in AF. The first time I was not on it. I have now been put on Metoprolol and Fleconide which please

Cold and blue hands on relatively warm days. Could this be thyroid related?
Even on relatively warm days my hands can be cold and blue. I'm taking thyroxine (100mg). I consulted my doctor who has prescribed a low dosage of Folpik xl 2.5mg to help symptoms but I wonder if its thyroid related. Anyone else had similar problems?

Has anyone experienced withdrawal symptoms while tapering off of Roprinerol (Requip)?
A previous neurologist had prescribed 24 mg of Requip XL daily. I also take 600 mg of Stalevo and 10 tablets of Carbidopa / Levodopa 25/100 each day. The next neurologist decreased the dosage from 24 mg to 12 mg. My new neurologist, who is a movement disorder specialist, has had me taper off from 12

Does anyone take Trihexyphenidyl?
I had an appointment with my Consultant yesterday as my usual cocktail of Stalevo, Requip XL and Sinemet CR are not controlling my tremor. After discussing various options I was asked to try one of the above tablets twice a day. As I have never heard of this drug I wondered whether anyone had had

I am curious as to what kind of problems any one has had taking Sinemet?
I started taking it in August and am now having a few issues. I also taking. Requip XL 12mg a day. I am not sure if it could be my thyroid -- I'm at that lovely age where some days my body is not my own. HORMONES! Would kindly accept responses from the women . Please no snide Man remarks --I'm just not

Brand v/s Generic
I have been on Requip xl since being diagnosed in 09. The last 6 months I have been taking requip xl 4mg tablets to equal 12 to !6 mg a day. My neuro put me on sinamet and at first was in a fog but have cut back and better now. When ordering my new Rx I found what I had been taking was the generic

Sinemet CR
I have recently been prescribed Sinemet CR in addition to my usual meds of Stalevo and Requip XL to help with sleep problems. However, in addition to them not helping with sleep my tremor seems to be quite a bit worse. I go back to the hospital next week and wondered if my tremor problems would be due

Help! - I need sleep
I was wondering whether anyone has had any positive, or otherwise, experience when taking Sinemet Plus? I was taking Stalevo 100 4 times a day and Requip XL 8mg once a day but was recently given Sinemet Plus 25mg in addition. My sleep pattern was at the most 2 hours after going to bed and then usually

Sleep Patterns
I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this problem. No matter what time I go to bed I always wake up at 1.30 am. When I wake I am always sure it is morning. I then have to get up as my tremor is so annoying. Have tried taking Stalevo and Requip at different times, but nothing works. I then

Hello from a new boy
Hello Everyone - I have been diagnosed for 9 years and am better now than i was 4 years ago. I put that down to seeing a marvellous Neuorlogist in Cambridge (not my home town) who recommended Azilect as an adddition to my Sinemet Plus and Amantadine and to change my Ropinirole to Requip XL. This change

Comments on Madopar and Requip XL
Currently taking 22mg Requip XL once a day at 7:30am .I've already tried Sinemet but they made me feel worse.PD nurse suggested Madopar dissolvable , 1x 62.5mg a day before i get up as i have mobility problems first thing in the morning. Does anyone out there have any experience of this combination?
