Effects of taking Lomperamide with Ldn
Please could you tell me what effects are likely if Lomperamide is taken on necessary occasions while taking 4.5 ml dose of Ldn? My husband has pancreatic cancer - he had a Whipple operation last Jan but after 4 months of Gemzar & a lot of side effects a Pet scan showed that the cancer had spread - unfortunately

A scare
Hi I too was cleared of cancer after having the
Whipple
procedure
. It is very scarry having to deal with the thought. Just because they have to do the
Whipple
procedure
doesn't mean that you have it until all the results are in after the surgery.Good luck to those fighting it.♡

Coping with pancreatic cancer
People call the op the dreaded
Whipple
Procedure
and there can be many difficult side effects afterwards. However, i found the whole procedure quite manageable and within six weeks of surgery was swimming in the sea at Mudeford.

Pain in my right side
Hi I had a
whipple
procedure
in Sept 2011 for removal of a malignant pseudopapillary tumour and have recovered well. However the last month or so, I have noticed that my stools are getting more constipated and I am getting pain on my right side when I strain going to the toilet.

Scared of procedure..
I have previously blogged about my husband and his gemzar treatments and now we are going to the doctor next tuesday (Dec 13) to see about getting the
whipple
procedure
. The more I read about it the more scared I get about my husband having it done. It seems like such a radical procedure.

My experience
Just thought I would add this to the site as it may be of interest. My experience is a bit different to most as I never knew I had pancreatic cancer until after I had undergone Whipples Procedure. I only knew that there was something on my pancreas and (fortunately) was advised by my surgeon to have

MY DAD'S EXPERIENCE SO FAR OF WHIPPLES PROCEDURE....
In July this year, 2011 my dad was diagnosed with pre-cancerous changes in his duodenum. An endoscopic resection was deemed impossible after seeing 5 consultants (!) as the area was too large, so whipples was suggested. He was terrified about the prospect of this right through till going into theatre
