My sister age 48 had the Whipple procedure to remove a tumor at the tip of the pancreas in October, ON CHEMO but still having pain in back/

Stomach. Has lost a lot of weight. Taking creon. Should she still be having pain.

It can take a little time for things to settle down after a Whipple's operation. If you are on chemo, you will have a CT scan scheduled after a few cycles of treatment - this will show anything of concern. In the meantime, if the pain is severe, do speak to your medical team about it. Good luck!

My Mum had the whipple proceedure in early April, is well apart from pain in upper stomach, just above her scar, it feels very hard to one side. She is struggling to do any active excerise because of this, thus this is making her feel very down..How long does it generally take to recover?
