Approx 390-400 days not out ,then caught and bowled by the Afib monster 👹
13 months Afib free , then it got me again . Didn’t notice I was in Afib , checked watch as I usually do and thought “ that’s not right “ , checked pulse and heart sank ..heartbeat to the tune of old king Cole was back . Did I miss a tablet the previous morning ? maybe …. Perhaps it was the swimming

Pacemaker
Ive just had a 48 hour monitor which showed all afib all day and night low heart rate 40s 30s plus tachycardia several times my cardiologist stopped metoprolol weeks ago and now wants to stop diltiazem but wouldn't you think he would suggest a pacemaker? Had all drugs plus 3 ablations

Ventricular ectopics
So my current loop recorder has shown I get ventricular ectopics. My cardiologist doesn't seem overly concerned at the moment but when I have these I experience a sharp stabbing pain in the left side of the chest. Has anyone else had similar experiences with PVCs, should I be worried?

I jinxed myself 3 months after ablation with EP Doc yesterday!
Im a newbie and retired paramedic here. After years of meds for paroxysmal afib which I have had 10 years I finally had to be cardioverted after an unusual 36 hour afib episode in ER. I am always bradycardic my entire life of 60 years running in the 40's. But 3 months ago HR was up in 220-240. It dropped

AFib causes BP to skyrocket
Hello, BP is in normal range and as soon as AFib starts it shoots up with readings of aprox 175/69, dangerously close to stage 3 bp crisis. When AFib stops the BP settles down immediately. High blood pressure was diagnosed long before AFib and it was managed successfully with meds. Now with AFib the

Lisinopril and Lipitor
I have high blood pressure and Afib. I had an MRI on my brain and the doctor found I have had a couple of strokes. Thankfully they made my left side numb, but nothing more. I take 20mg of lisinopril a day and 80mg of Lipitor. I am continually nauseated, and my leg muscles are weak. I feel off balance

Pulsating Tinnitus
Hi! I’m a 70 y/o female and was diagnosed with Afib a year ago. I have had PVCs, PACs, SVEs since I was in my 20s. Bad thing is, I am aware and can feel almost every single irregular beat. And now, with pulsating tinnitus which I’ve had approximately six years, I can HEAR every single irregular beat

Afib with no symptoms
Are you my twin brother? you are almost exactly like me, but I "got" afib at 64. I am in my 70's now and don't run much anymore, ( i started running in 1983) but hike nearly everyday. I had CV done...twice...but soon went back to afib. I take warfarin everyday, and will for the rest of my life

About this slow heart rate
I've been a long time sufferer of persistent afib I've had the usual ablations anti arrhythmia drugs and settled quite well with rate control meds till about 8 months ago My worry is that my heart rate dips down into low 40s even 30s day and night as soon as I start doing something it will rise a bit

Life after watchman.
I was diagnosed with AFIB in January 2020. After taking eliquis for Two years I decided to have the watchman implant because of all the easy bruising and the expense of the eliquis. Am interested in knowing how others have done with the implant. It’s been four days since I got the watchman and today

Amiodorone.
I am looking for some advice on taking Amiodorone. I had a cardioversion a year ago that worked well for 6 months. Since then I have been in AF. No tachycardia, just an irregular heartbeat. It makes me feel unwell and short of breath. My cardiologist has suggested trying the cardioversion again but

30 Day Cardiac Monitor
I just got a 30 day event monitor put on today, and was just wondering anyone’s experience with it. What were your outcomes? What did it find. I had 24 hr holter monitor in the past, but of course nothing really happened to record anything, besides tachycardia. I also had a echocardiogram today. I was

Slow Afib
Anyone have any experience of this not sure if it exists even. Reason I'm asking is I'm noticing my pulse rate is fluctuating between 40 BPM and 75 BPM. When I check my Kardiamobile device it says possible afib even though the pulse rate is showing at around 40 BPM. How do I know if its bradycardia or

High Heart Rate!! What should I do?
Hi all for the past two days my HR reading have been high 120 when just sitting down but it goes higher if I get up and move around. Last night I had to take my dog out which was a bit of a challenge, could hardly walk, restricted breathing due to tightness in chest and distorted vision in left eye.

Afib and aflutter
I’m new here and looking for similar conditions and ideas to cope. I had Afib for 20 straight months. After 5 cardio and 1 ablation I finally was out of Afib which lasted about a year. Then into aflutter which has turned out to be more debilitating than Afib. Ive had cardioversions and ablation that

When Is Ablation Necessary?
I am scheduled for a Coronary CT scan tomorrow to assess the condition of my heart ahead of scheduling me for my first Cryo Ablation. All of my previous heart scans show no structural or functional issues. My question is: Since I haven't had a Afib episode for several months, have dropped 55 pounds,

Query over AF symptoms
Hi, just joined and while waiting to see GPs etc I was wondering if anyone can help. I get, what feels like to me, irregular heart rhythms but only very occasionally, like maybe 1 a month. It seems to come out of the blue and often in the evening, sometimes after exercise (fell running), sometimes not

Fourth time a char?
Quick history- cardioversion to stop first event, cryoballoon ablation to stop subsequent ones. It lasted 4 years but with Afib episodes sporadically [despite beta blocker, dronedarone, Amiodarone (not all at the same time!)]. Two more rf ablations, three more cardioversions. No longer in Afib but in
