Eklira Genuair 322 (aclidinium bromide)
I have been on the above inhaler for about 5/6 days and feeling really rough. Sunday night I awoke gasping for breath about 4am, I got up and realised I had forgotten my evening dose which the nurse thought could be the reason, have not had that again but gradually I am getting worse with a cough, wheezing

How long does it take to recover after a bad attack?
Hi Had an asthma attack I think without realising the severity of symptoms it had been going on for a few days. Yesterday I wound up in hospital my sats were 88 and i couldn't talk a sentence. Anyway after a few hours of treatment I was sent home. I can get my breath now which is good. I'm just exhausted

very worried about next cons app
Hello to everyone on this forum. I have been lurking for a year or so, just after I was first seen by cons, and have found it very informative. If anyone is able to offer any advice or suggestions regarding how to approach things with the cons so as it does not all go wrong again. I was diagnosed asthma

last night, i took my reliever 6 times in 1 hour, did not feel any better so went to hospital. My lips looked blue, my face was pale and sweaty, unable to take normal breaths, shaking because of the amount of ventolin i had taken, constant horrible cough that i could not catch my breath back. when

Anyone with "normal" FEV1 staged at moderate emphysema?
Hi everyone! I had my first visit to a respiratory specialist today and I'm even more confused. I thought staging was based on PFT results. With an FEV1/FVC % of less than .70 and an FEV1 95% predicted I thought pointed to mild emphysema. Though when the specialist put up the CT scans from May 2013

ventolin and heart rate
I am trying to tackle my worsening asthma by getting fitter, but because the exercise can often exacerbate symptoms, cause breathlessness or a coughing fit I take some precautionary ventolin in advance. This is usually effective (though not always). Anyway, even though my work is very sedentary, I had

correlation between peak flow and symptoms?
A,m still have a significant increase in symptoms at the moment, not yet brought under better control by the increase in Seretide dosage. No infection, I think, but lots of morning coughing and scary wheeziness, tight chest and more rapid, or harder work breathing during the day, and a strange sensation

What constitutes an attack?
Hi, background: still learning to live with this, asthma hit last year, probably heightened hormonal sensitivity to allergens with perimenopause/ menopause. But I also get exercise induced asthma so take a couple of puffs in advance. Been coughing a lot all summer, completely stuffed nose etc, but

Confused by my diagnosis
I was diagnosed about a week ago after a bout of coughing, tightness in my chest and dizzy spells. I have suffered the same kind of bouts for the last two years but this is the first time asthma was mentioned. Previous times it was diagnosed as bronchitis or viral respiratory infection. I was prescribed

This Country Is Ridiculous When It Come To Asthma
I am from Australia and have severe Asthma and need to carry a puffer with me where ever I go. Now what happens if I forget it at home or misplace it ... just like many people each day would do with their keys? Well I would always just go up and buy a new one from the pharmacy, when I was back home

Currently being diagnosed
Hi all, I'm new here. I'm currently going through the long process of confirming if I have asthma. When I was around 5, my doctor at the time said I was on the borderline of being asthmatic, but at the time I didn't really have symptoms so it was left at that. Fast forward 20 years and my hay fever started

Symbicort not Working Properly?
I have been on symbicort (alternating between 200/6 and 400/12 during flare ups) for the past year, which I know is a combination of formoterol & busesonide. Prior to this, I was on a clenil modulite inhaler (200mcg twice daily) which I believe was a different steroid (beclometasone dipropionate?) The
