Small airways
Hi! I am looking for information. I am curious about the part small airways play in asthma. For the last few days I have been feeling rough, as if I am getting a proper head cold, but without getting one. Not yet anyway. Anyway, my breathing has felt affected, it feels heavier, and a little extra coughing

Just heard an idea as to a cause of my symptoms, but need some insight
My physiotherapist suggested the reason only Ventolin relieves my breathing and tightness is because I breath wrong with my mouth. She thinks because I have a dodgy breathing pattern I get the air trapping and hyperinflation we saw on the chest x-ray and lung function tests leading to chest muscle tension

Xolair - A miracle - 50 years of suffering gone !!
I started Xolair 4 months ago, goodbye to Ventolin, pred, nebs, green color inhaler and from 6 puffs of symbicort a day to 2 if I remember. Stone and a half weight loss and feel like I have my life back. Anyone else had such a good reaction.

If Ventolin helps does that mean you definatly have asthma?
No cough or wheeze but I do get gassy and tightness and my breathing completely stops. I am terrified of chronic illness and will do anything to avoid an asthma diagnosis. Clenil isn't helping but Ventolin does. Last year a purple combiinhaler also didn't help much.

Does asthma cause reflux or vice versa?
Also can Ventolin potentially help difficulty breathing caused by reflux?

GP refusing to prescribe more than 1 reliever
I'm new here and would appreciate some advice! I've had asthma for nearly 40 years and was taking symbicort and ventolin as a reliever. My GP has now refused to prescribe more than 1 ventolin inhaler per prescription and said I should need only 1 or 2 per year. I think I use about 4, partly as I run/

Advice needed - how can I regain control?
Hi - Hoping that some of you may be able give me some useful advice. Had a horrible cold/cough back in August which set off Asthma symptoms. Despairing as keep being told ' it's not typical asthma' so won't officially diagnose
Hi, I wrote a post on here the other day, long story short.... ? Asthma since March this year following bronchitis episodes. Ever since started having ' attacks' I keep being told that it's asthma, but isn't' as my symptoms aren't text book. When I was admitted to hospital following 2 acute attacks

Any advice appreciated:)
I'm 48 and long story short, had 3 episodes of bronchitis in 2 months earlier this year. this, my specialist says, triggered adult asthma. Well.....kinda. As Chest was always clear, not wheezing, o2 levels ok and as I also have a chronic cough (prolonged, deep) difficulty in inhaling ( can't use inhaler

Asthma Preventer And nightmares
I just wondered if anyone else had this problem........ When I take my preventer I start getting nightmares within a few days which, if I stay on my preventer, become persistent. I find these upsetting and end up stopping my preventer after a while. Fortunately in general I can get by with using very
