PeakFlow Readings
My peak flow readings never seem to change and I’m a little confused. My last one recorded at my GP surgery was 290, My dr wanted me to monitor my peak flow readings. There currently between 350-250. I currently have a Salbutamol inhaler a Fostair Inhaler and Montelukast daily. I’m not noticing much

Hashimoto's, levothyroxine intolerance. Help please anyone?
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's in February 2021, following a routine blood test, and put on 25mcg levothyroxine and was fine. In June 2021 my dose was increased to 50mcg. Again, I thought I was fine, although in hindsight, I think I may have been having side effects, but due to working etc missed

What is the relationship between COPD and anaemia?
I hope I will stop posting so frequently once I have a formal diagnosis. However, currently, whilst I wait for tests, I have found myself wondering about all sorts of things. First of all, I have anaemia which I had assumed was the result of my restrictive diet. However, I take an iron pill daily and

Pulmonary Fibrosis/Pulmonary Hypertension how long?
I know that we have very different experiences with our ILD. I had a look on an American PH news site and see that they have been testing an oral spray which has given quite favourable results for PF sufferers. Wonder how long it will take for UK to get it! Here is an extract from the article. It would

How Long is the Waiting List for Spirometry?
Hello, My GP has confirmed that I have been referred for spirometry. I also have been prescribed an inhaler. Does anyone know very roughly how long the waiting list is for a spirometry test e.g. weeks, months or years? Also, I have anaemia. I have probably been anaemic for a long time, and this is

The magic of a backpack
Throughout my life I found myself losing things all the time. In fact I found it very difficult to leave the house sometimes due to the things that I’ve lost or misplaced. One of my girlfriends in the past give me a small bag which are used to store some of the things I needed most commonly. It started

Blood blisters
Hi. I am experiencing oral blood blisters. They are painful, as they leave an ulcer. I am convinced this is due to inhaler use . I have had asthma since childhood. I currently take seretide, I have tried changing inhalers, however this didn't solve the problem. I think long term steroids are the

What are your thoughts on breathing techniques vs medication?
Hi Everyone, I am sufferer of asthma, and it has been brought to my attention as to whether the effectiveness of specific breathing techniques vs medication could assist in increasing lung capacity. Breathing techniques: Some sources suggest that breathing exercises can help alleviate asthma symptoms

Covid?
Hello everyone, About 5 weeks ago I came down with Covid. Seemed to get through it ok, but about a week after my asthma starting playing up. Symptoms are breathlessness mainly at night, mucus of chest that’s hard to cough up, tight chest which relieves when taken inhalers. Spo2 is around 97% slightly

Toddler breathing issues during sleep
Our 3yo daughter has recently developed asthma like symptoms, post covid. We have been prescribed with an inhaler, which we have used sporadically when she has needed it. Her breathing seems most erratic when she is asleep, we try to watch for all of the signs that she may be struggling for breath,
