Finished Obinutuzumab treatment!
I will continue with daily
Venetoclax
until March. A couple of bumps in the road in the beginning, but overall a positive experience.

My husband who has been on 200mg of
Venetoclax
for two years now has been ill since New years day, first the doctor thought flu because his chest sounded pretty clear however she gave him 7 days amoxacillan just to be on the safe side, covid tests negative, he has now got a full blown chest infection

COVID
My question is will this effect lbrutonib and
Venetoclax
. He also told me to stop taking antibiotics which I have been taking 3 times a week. Looks like I have to wait to see of I contract COVID re anti virals. Again not sure how they might interact. Sorry for long post. Tony.

Great news from my MDAnderson doctor
T and I agreed to add
Venetoclax
in an attempt to try to reach uMRD and have a drug holiday! April, 2024 my new doctor (after Dr. T left to go back to Australia), Dr. Ferrajoli ordered a Bone Marrow Biopsy as my PB had gotten down to 0.007 in February, 2024.

Almost to the point of despair. Sorry for this.
I've read similar cases where, despite the kidney function being like this, when you start treatment with O +
Venetoclax
the results are very good and the kidneys return to normal. That's what I'm hoping for, because it's already proving very difficult.

What to do? a very enlarged spleen & very little money for treatment
My options may be 1) Ibrutinib, Acalbrutinib or Zanubrutinib, or Obinutuzumab plus
Venetoclax
(following NCCN guidelines) or 2) removing my huge spleen (8 x 3.5 x 5.5") , a surgery not done as much now as in the past. The meds reduce the spleen, but are super-expensive.

Zanubrutinib and hair loss?
I'm not sure if it was the Ibrutinib alone or the comination of Ibrutinib and
Venetoclax
. I'm wondering if anyone here on Zanubrutinib is experiencing that particular side effect.

AML update
I am now having Azacitadine and
Venetoclax
as an in-patient and so far so good - I just have red marks around the injection sites and constipation. I am otherwise well. Shockingly, my husband has been diagnosed with a melanoma just last week.

changes in markers and new treatment
I achieved UMRD at the end of the trial of Ibrutinib and
Venetoclax
. I remained in total remission until my visit after my husband died from Alzheimer’s in Oct 2021. Since then it’s been downhill.

Good News and not so good news
He had to stop his
Venetoclax
, Pirtobrutnib and Flecanide for the duration of Pax therapy. He continues to have a cough but no fever. Thank you for this wonderful community which continues to supply great information and support to us all. Praying God's blessings for all of us in 2024. Laurie

Haven’t posted for a while 😊
As for my mom she has been ok we’re still with a low dose of
venetoclax
and ibruvica her whites are low again 2.6 and what worries me is her b2 microglobin is 2.8 the max is 2.5. That was always very low from march I saw an elevation but the haematologist didn’t comment.
