Guess what I got from my husband?
Yes, that’s right. Covid 19. I thought I had a cold but it turned into Cv19. I’m so happy I’ve been doubly vaccinated. I have a cough, can’t taste, did have a headache, shivery and fatigued. Oh and aches& pains but we have those everyday anyway. It was inevitable as I take buses to work and

Pressure / Stabbing Pain
They started around March of this year which was about the time when I had my second Pfizer Coronavirus
vaccination
. A bit of history. I've had a couple of Radio Frequency Ablations for Atrial Fibrillation and Flutter - the last in October 2020. I'm on Bisoprolol, Flecainide and Rivaroxaban.

Flu vaccinations
My GP practice just seems to get worse with flu vaccinations. Last week I asked for appointment. Told "over comng weeks" texts would be sent giving patients contact number. One then has to phone that to get appointment. So it could be weeks before I get flu jab. I would be interested to know how many

Antibody Testing After Getting the COVID-19 Vaccine: What to Know If You’re Immunocompromised
I know we've discussed this endlessly but I thought this article was quite good. As it says,[i] "there are risks in trying to interpret these antibody tests yourself, because even doctors aren’t sure what the results could mean. There is still a lot that experts don’t know about how the vaccine works

3rd Covid vaccine
I had my 3rd vaccine on Tuesday and felt no ill effects Wednesday and Thursday BUT, overnight and this morning I feel dreadful. My problem is that I don’t know whether this is a reaction or whether I have a flare of PMR. I had no reactions to the first two vaccinations. I took two paracetamol about

Israeli study: Pfizer shot safe for highly allergic patients, with supervision
The next level of screening involved an allergy questionnaire, after which 785 received regular
vaccination
and five were deferred from immunization. The remaining 429 were deemed in need of care from the high-risk clinic, with vaccines given under observation.

Concern About New Recommendations to Relax COVID-19 Prevention Measures
This was on the Medscape site earlier today. (I've not copied the whole article). The Government is likely to follow recommendations from the new UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) for more Covid protocol relaxation in hospitals which won't make any of us who attend hospital frequently feel any safer

Peg Interferon and flu jab
Hi All, I was offered the flu jab this year and decided I wanted to have it. However, now I’m wondering whether it’s ok to get it with Interferon. The leaflet of Interferon states that live vaccinations should not be given with the medication and I believe the flu vaccine isn’t live? I haven’t had any

COVID vaccination whilst on chemo?
Hi everyone, quick update - husband 66 diagnosed 13 months ago, G9, PSA 140, very extensive bone mets. Became castrate resistant after only 6 months and presently on cycle 8 of 10 rounds of docetaxel. The chemo has been very debilitating for him but he still struggles to get out there every day and work

Free For All on Friday
I had a stressful day this week as it was time for Kasar the cat's annual health check and
vaccination
. There are still restrictions in place at our vet surgery so only one of us could accompany him inside.

We should not dismiss the possibility of eradicating COVID-19: comparisons with smallpox and polio
Vaccination
, public health measures, and global interest in achieving this goal as a result of the huge financial and social havoc wrought by the coronavirus pandemic, all make eradication possible.
