I had Avascular Necrosis of the hip, and needed a total hip replacement. Now eight months after the op, I now have it in my shoulder and will need surgery. AVN was steroid induced. Four years on PREDNISOLONE on varying doses. Monitoring was poor by Rheumatologist. I feel I should have been warned, especially

Night sweats after stopping Prednisone
My finance was diagnosed with ANCA vasculitis MPA March of 2014. Needless to say he was on many drugs (including Prednisone) but now he's only on 150mg of Imurine (azathioprine) and has been prednisone free since Jan 25th,2016. My question: sometimes he still gets night sweats. Last night he had

Rheumatoid Vasculitis & Epsom Salts
Hi all, I am currently having a bad flare and have been told that bath with Epsom Salts is a good way to relieve aches and pains. Has anyone else heard of this and, I know it sounds stupid, will it muck about with my meds?? Thanks :)

Microscopic Polyangiitis
My mum was diagnosed with Microscopic Polyangiitis in May 2014 and initially was treated with high dose prednisolone and several cycles of cyclophosphamide infusion and then went on to Azathioprine and low dose prednisolone and she has been on the latter for over a year now. Her mobility suffered hugely

Help needed in Scotland
My partner was diagnosed with Vasculitis 3 years ago and treated at Ninewells. The lead consultant has since moved and subsequently the treatment my partner received has flatlined. A letter arrived today saying that Ninewells are 'discharging' my partner from their care. They have not run any tests

Vitamin D and vasculitis
During the last few days a number of newspapers have reported a study which suggests that Vitamin D may be helpful in the treatment of MS. For example the Daily Mirror: http://www.mirror.co.uk/lifestyle/health/could-vitamin-d-cure-multiple-7095294 It is not the first time Vitamin D has been connected

Treatment for CSS
I suffer from ANCA positive vasculitis, they think a crossover of GPA/CSS and I am currently on 6 monthly Rituximab and Prednisilone but it is not controlling my symptoms. I am considering Methotrexate or Mycohenolate alongside it and was wondering if others have had success with these combinations
