Getting worried
Does this mean that the although
urso
seems to improve my bloods and has stopped my itching that it isn't preventing my liver deteriorating? Not feeling very positive at the moment but neither do I want to worry those close to me.

Diagnosed yesterday with PBC
I will be prescribed
urso
and the doctor wants me to have a biopsy to check staging. Unfortunately I have always suffered from health anxiety and feel that by having the biopsy it will make my anxiety worse if for example I was diagnosed with stage 4.

Finally, some good news!!
Got my first set of blood work back after being on
Urso
for 3 months and my levels are coming down! My ALP went from 500 to 300, and my ALT and AST are now in normal ranges.

PBC/AIH or not?
I was diagnosed with PBC a couple of months ago and have been on
urso
since, it does seem to be helping with the fatigue so far. After seeing a consultant he said I should have a biopsy which I have now had and am awaiting the results.

Pbc
I'm currently taking 2000 mg of
urso
daily and I feel ok. I mean no real side affects as of yet. Except for itching which I'm not sure is the
urso
or the pbc. Just wondering if anyone has any further information in this disease.

Follow up appointments
I started on
urso
at the end of January, but my gastro didn't arrange any follow up blood tests. I just took the medication leaflet to my GP who followed me up,with monthly blood tests for 3 months and then another blood test at 6 months.

Urso?
Each time I get fill to a new prescription the chemist give me a different brand or the generic version. Rather annoys me. Any way my question is the current lot I have just picked up have for titanium dioxide in,(none of the other brand listed it) It has been classified as a carcinogenic, even used

Urso unavailable??
I have been on
Urso
18 months. Recently told by 2 pharmacies that
Urso
is on back order & will be at least a month before it is available. I find that very strange. Worse yet, is the fact that I called my gastro Dr. & asked if she could prescribe something else.

Biopsy yes or no?
Even though I've been on
urso
since March. I've refused two thus far & they are getting angry with me. I can also ( & have when they listen) ticked the box to lots of the other symptoms on the list. So on my illnesses summary letter. It is still marked as possible PBC.

I was diagnosed with PBC about 10 years ago but I do not have any of the symptoms. I do not think I have PBC.
I was prescribed
Urso
which I still take - god knows why. At my annual medical my live function bloods show normal. Yesterday I visited the consultant at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead and I said I do not think I have PBC and he called another doctor to come and do some scans.

Depression, not overwhelming, the looming thoughts. Is this making my fatigue worse?
I have been on
Urso
now for a month now and have been paying more attention to the posts about those that the meds didn't work for. I am a person of faith, and I definitely rely on God for my dailing strength and mental optimism.

Have any of you figured out how to keep the nauseous/bloating feeling away that Urso creates? Do certain foods make you feel worse?

Liver Function Tests Questions
I have been on
Urso
18 months. For the first time, my results have lots of things elevated, OTHER than ALP.

Ignorance is bliss
Has anyone else read the article in the Sunday Mail this weekend about how
Urso
....... Is extracted from brown bears in China under very cruel and inhumane conditions. I wish I hadn't seen it because now I feel I should stop taking these pills. I'd like to know what everyone else thinks?
