Helping a study on ursodeoxycholic
I received a letter today from a health team asking me if I would like to take part in a study to try and find out why some pbc sufferers respond to
urso
and some don't. They said my hospital records show I would be a good candidate for the study as I am a responder to
urso
.

Diagnosed a week ago today
Two weeks later I'm being diagnosed with PBC, given a script for
URSO
, scheduling a liver biopsy, and feeling relief that there is an answer for a lot of the issues I have been having the last 15 years!

Urso side effects
Hi All, I started
Urso
about five/six weeks ago and have been feeling okay until the last few days. I feel very achy and with a headache. Has anyone experienced this? Maybe its just a virus I am fighting too. Thanks!

Anyone else have PBC and RA?
And after a second attempt I seem to be tolerating
URSO
. Been back on that for 3 weeks. About 5-6 weeks ago I noticed my joints were hurting. First my knees, then progressively over the days to weeks my ankles and wrists too. I feel like the tin man of Oz needing that oil can!

Unable to take Urso for PBC
I am newly diagnosed with PBC and was given
Urso
.
Urso
made me very sick so I am now scared as to what is going to happen to me. Has anyone here not been able to take
Urso
and been well or found something else to help.

Feeling bloated
I've been on
URSO
for 2 months now with no side effects, but could this be down to the medication too? Thanks for advice and best wishes 😊

Tests are better, but, not quite
After taking
Urso
for 3.5 months, my GGT level dropped from 130 to a normal level of 43. However, Alkaline Phos remained high, though not as high as before I started taking
Urso
. It was at about 300, now it is 189.

Trouble with vision.
I have only been on
urso
for 3 or 4 weeks so I wondered if it was a side effect. Has anyone else had trouble after starting to take it? I do need new glasses anyway but its quite a difference in a short time.

Living while waiting for the other shoe to drop!
Urso
has helped with digestive issues, but the fatigue is like a wall I run into whenever I try to extend activities. Thanks for "listening"!

Finally! Some good news.
To make matters worse I didn't tolerate the
URSO
. I got super sick on it and they took me off of it after 3 weeks and a loss of 12 lbs.

Questron question, if I may?
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with PBC 3 years ago and started on
Urso
. Only have a partial response to that but it's better than nothing and I'm hopeful for the new alternative. Long before I knew I had PBC my main complaint was painful joints, especially my feet.

I really need some advice
I ask do you have other PBC patients and are they on
Urso
, he said yes. I walked out of there totally confused and gobsmacked. Thinking "What was that all about". Sorry for the long essay, but any thoughts anyone?

What are all the different types of Urso?
After reading through some of the posts, I've seen where some people take a certain form of
urso
and others take a different type. How many types of
Urso
are out there? The label on my bottle says generic for
urso
forte. I take (2) 500mg tablets a day with food.

General health outlook
I'm also now on
Urso
but yet to see if I am responding to it. My question really to other people out there with PBC, has anyone with a similar profile to mine had PBC for many years and kept it under control and not started to develop other symptoms?
